why? he won 4 titles in 4 divisions in those 2 years, beat oscar as ahuge underdog, looked impressive in every fight but marquez, created a record 7 division champ. Mayweather might be more skilled but he ****ed up when he retired after beating your hero, thats why he didnt get fighter of the decade as well.

More likely Hopkins is. Let's see what Floyd and Pac will do in their 40s when Hopkins is busy beating P4P-ers Tarver, Wright, Pavlik and getting lineal belt vs. near P4P-er Pascal. And he's now done yet! A guy from a past era is the best of this, BHop stands out with his historical achievements that include no ducking or cherry picking. As for Pac not being an ATG.... atsch
A lot of ATG's haven't done anything in their 40s. I don't think you have to have success in your 40s to be an ATG. Pac is far greater than Hopkins.

Mayweather's behind Pacquiao and Hopkins. How anybody sees Mayweather as the undisputed greatest of this era is beyond me. It's an absurd claim at this point. I'm not just using you here, but I find it odd how so many Hatton fans seem to have this opinion that Mayweather is clearly the best. It's strange because I've seen it a lot of times before on this site and on other ones too.
here's a question for you....if Mayweather finishes off his career beating Ortiz, Pacquiao, and Martinez for the middleweight belt, while Hopkins finishes off his career beating Dawson, Bute/Kessler, and Ward (if he wins the super 6), who rates higher?
Hopkins in an ATG. But achieving what he's done in his 40s is not the reason, it's what he's done period. That's equivalent to me saying this certain 30 year old college student is one the best students of all time because his grades are better than his younger classmates. Being old and great won't make up for him being an average part time student in his late teens and early 20s.
