From what I saw last night....absolutely. It just re-affirmed my stance that PAC would be far too fast with the wrong style for Cotto. ANd ultimately would win by stoppage at some point. Cotto hooks alot and PAC throws a lot of fast, sharp, straight punches that would meet their mark faster and more consistantly than anything from Cotto's aresenal.
yes, it's possible, but i think it's a bad idea for pac to go for a KO. he can win it by a comfortable UD
I see this as an action-packed all-night long extravaganza!! But the fight would likely be at catch weight between 143-144lbs, weigh-in on Fight Day. Both loves toe-to-toe and press on their opponents. With both fighters having 80% KO track record, I see a KO midway: either between 4th-6th (by Cotto) OR between 5th-8th (by Pacquiao). Based on their last 5 fights, I think Pacquiao is going to pull thru!
people keep saying that pac has the power to ko cotto but just remember that cotto has the power to stop pacquia too.
He's got to catch him first. Pacqiauo is not gonna just stand their and let Cotto hit him. The fight will be won on defense and Pacqiauo has better defense than Cotto.
I flip flopped a bit in my introduction but i'm going to stick with pac winning the fight. I think it would be a big fight and it would be a fight that Cotto would do his best and fight hard in. I think that Pac can win by KO but the more I think about it - the more I doubt that Pac can do it. Cotto is big, he's fast himself, and he can fight when it comes down to it.
Yeah, it's possible but not likely as Cotto is to slow to catch Pac. Pac would be drilling Cotto's face with his double right jobs, left straights and right hooks then move out before Cotto could react and Pac would do it continously til Cotto take a knee in surrender!:yep
Agree, but he lacks the speed to catch Pac!:yep Of course, I'm not discounting one lucky punch from Cotto which may be enough to KO the smaller Pac but I'm confident that Pac will win by stoppage even at 147.
