After the Margarito fight.....I think there were too many things going on all around him...spread himself thin and lost the fire. He went through a inner personal transformation that has made him a different fighter...more cerebral...less ferocious.

Finding a renewed relationship with God may have helped his marriage but for his boxing, I think it's taken something away.....it's great that Manny quit gambling, drinking and all of his other vices that almost caused him to lose his wife but I don't think he's going to get back to the old Manny that was dominating everyone.

I still see PAC pulling out another close decision but don't think he'll show a typical destructive performance for a few reasons. JMM is in top form...JMM is always a problem for PAC and Manny seems to have lost his ferocity.

Definitely a Mayweather fan regurgitating the weight drain excuse for Cotto

I my opinion, he slowed down in the fight with Clottey.

no.....he looked the same as he did against Cotto except Clottey didnt fight.

If he did, he would have likely ended up like Margarito, though probably not knocked out since he is one strong mother****er

it started with the Mosley fight.

however, he is still an elite fighter.

How either man didn't go down from some of those shots landed was incredible.

He was never the same after Clottey landed those uppercuts on him.

Hes been slowly declining since Margarito, i think Margarito was just too big and the punches he managed to land hurt him a lot, at least enough to have him in bed the whole next day. Also now hes fighting boxers that know how to box and move. something that surprised me on 24/7 was when Roach said that he didnt tell Manny what to do anymore, That Manny told him, that cant be good at all

This. You cannot remain world's best P4P boxers having all those other commitments (the politician mostly) at the same time. There is just not enough time to concentrate in training and boxing if you have family and career in politics added with some side shows to maintain.

Furthermore, it seems that nowadays he is boxing only for money (not Money:yep), anyways. The vital passion to hurt your opponent is not in there anymore and has not been for a while.

I think you guys are too fixated on an exact moment. The guy turned 30 just after the ODLH fight and has been in too many wars to count. He has aged extremely well, actually, given his activity and style of fighting for all these years.

He's just about to turn 34.

Ricky Hatton is just a couple months older and has been shot for years. Morales was shot in his third Pac fight, and he was only 30. Another guy in too many wars. MAB was shot beyond shot when he fought Khan, and that was at 35. Fighters at that size don't age well generally, and especially when they have taken punishment.

You have your occasional JMM, but by and large Pac has fought at an elite level far longer than anyone could reasonably expect. He's an old, shopworn fighter. It's that simple.

That's right. JMM only became unshot sometime mid 2009.

What did you think of Canelo's vs smaller, older Mosley? Didn't win more rounds, no KDs, didn't even have him running? How about Floyd, who won 1 round less and was on bambi legs?

Ok, I am just talking about speed of the hands and feet. The thing is Margo is so much slower than Cotto and seeing the contrasting speed in those fights I still thought Manny was faster against Cotto despite taking on a faster opponent.

His speed, Power, and stamina all has drastically decrease

His granite chin, is the only thing that has yet to leave him
