I'm going to give Pac props if he beats Cotto, but that won't stop critics from thinking that Cotto might've have been weight drained depending on the outcome.
Convenient to say for someone losing a fight. DLH lost that fight because of a wrong gameplan. Trying to keep light to keep with the speed, and luring Pac while waiting for the right time to catch Pac with that left-hook that never had the oppotunity. Upsets happen, and it come in surprises.
Nobody believes you, and I doubt you believe what you just wrote-no offense BB. Dlh always had a speed advantage against most of his opponents. What he didn't imagine was how weak he would be fighting/making at 147.
I'd think Cotto would be weight drained if he shows those symptoms early in the fight. If he starts to gas in the later rounds, that's just Cotto being Cotto. 145 also was Cotto's terms, not Pac's. So no weight drained excuses if he comes in 145 during weigh in, 1 pound less than what he came in against Clottey (146). Also, you can't blame Pac for starting the 145 pound catchweight. You have to give full credit to the founders of the 145 lb division: Julio Cesar Chavez and Pernell Whitaker. :good This content is protected This content is protected
You like involving other posters here as if you need people to back you up. Thats your opinion and most of your post on here gives a bright color on what your intentions really are. DLH did that to himself, and Pac should be given props for it. If Pac was to lose for not training properly, due to his busy routine, are you going to give Cotto his props? or are you going to say Pac lost due to his bad habits and deny Cotto his due?
cotto is still the same fighter, if he looked a bit different in his previous fights, it is because of the level of competitions were a lot higher.. he outboxed mosley and survived clottey eventhough he's got a nasty cut but barely beat them and does anybody remember jennings after the margo loss?.
If cotto didnt get hit by that punch and didn't fall down and got up before the ref counted to 10. Cotto would of won. So Cotto in my mind won the fight
Pacquiao's own trainer, Freddie Roach, has been blaring his trumpets that Cotto "isn't the same since Margarito." Oops, yeah?
We can quote a lot of Roach's words depending on how it suits us:yep If he say's another thing, it's either he's insane or he's spot on.:hey
Well the truth is the truth, and it's no disrespect to say the truth. Hatton was definitely overrated, ODLH was definitely shot, and Cotto definitely isn't the same man he used to be. That said, the WAY Pac destroyed Hatton was impressive as all hell, and it will still be impressive as hell if he beats Cotto, who is by no means a shot fighter, just a diminished fighter. I think Pac is a great fighter, and there is one easy way for him to get rid of this type of talk, and I also think he's more than capable of getting it done. Fight the young, tough guys. Beat Soto, Valero, Linares etc and get them in the rear view mirror. Reach a conclusive end to his saga with JMM. If he doesn't do that, and he needs to do it before he starts sliding himself, this will always be the knock on Pac. That's just the way it is.
