    Nice Post!!:good.. You all make valid points and I have a better prespective of how Pac's speed would cause trouble for Cotto....

    Can't wait for Sat....

    Handspeed=about equal
    Footspeed+Pac
    Versatility=Pac
    Tenacity = tie between Shane and Pac but Shane falls into the trap of using his speed exclusively for power punching and straight out slugging, Pac has more finesse, crisper combos, relies more on speed than power but the speed becomes power when the opponent is all cut up.

    The biggest difference is the speed of Pac's brain, allowing him to see things in slo-mo and make instant decisions.

    Pacquiao's punches are straighter, therefore harder, in the sense that his opponents don't see them coming. His movement is also more awkward than Judah and Mosley. The several angles he creates don't hurt either.

    Too bad Zab has a pea-sized brain.

    Tehm 3 are bout the same handspeed to me, but Pac is on a whole lot of different level. Nothing Cotto has faced. He capitalizes with his speed not only on handspeed, but in ring generalship. He uses his footwork speed to outmaneuver you to go to an angle he can take advantage of you. He uses his foot speed to close the gap rapidly to strike or move away. He uses his body speed to duck a punch and speed again to move back up and counter you.

    Zab has faster 1 punch speed. And displays this while not really moving his feet. Good counterpunching but lacks follow thru. Slows down in the later rounds.

    Pac throws faster combinations from different angles by constantly moving with his feet. Sustains this for 12 rounds. Good follow thru with meaner intent.

    His footwork is faster than both.

    His hand speed is faster than Mosley, just, but not Judah

    Probably just as fast or slightly less. Big difference IMO is that Pac punches from very odd angles at that speed. Mos and Zab you pretty much knew where the punch was coming from but couldnt stop it because it was so fast. Thats where I like Pac and may be an X factor when comparing to Zab and Mos fights. Also, Zab had Cotto "rocked" in a couple of exchanges. I thought that was a great fight (entertainment-wise), but Zab seemed to gas out (most likely because Cotto was punching back). Think the speed affected Cotto in the Zab fight during some exchanges. Will be interesting to see if Pacs stamina/tenacity/odd punch angles/speed will be more effective then Mos or Zab. Thing is, Roach knows how fast Mos is and that Cotto beat him, so there is a different gameplan in place that not only will utilize speed since obviously Zab and Mos speed didnt help them win the fight (albeit they were competative matches--except Zab in the later rounds).

    prime mosley could punch fast and hard with both hands.right now id say manny is faster then shane and but i think judah is still the fastest.newer guys like kahn and tim can challenge that speed and berto as well.but i think manny is faster then shane but maybe not judah.
