Fairly even fight though I fancy Ngannou by KO. I think he'll press the issue. If Parker can be mauled by Chisora, think of what Ngannou will do to him in the corner with Parker's chin in the air. Joe Joyce all over again.

He has been hanging in this company for a few years now....and has went backwards NOT forward. U really need to move on from thinking Parker is ever going to suddenly become great

I can’t ever remember saying Parker was going to be great… he hit his ceiling against Joshua, and that wasn’t close to being enough.

Not enough drive, determination or killer instinct. He’s been that way since he was an amateur…

Del Boy has a better chance of getting that match up

You will not see gnannou fighting any decent HW again in a boxing ring. Ever. Everybody and his mom could see that gnannou cant box for ****, the only reason he looked half-decent is fury acting like the clown he is and ****ing up big time. Period.

I'm not surprised of seeing decent HWs licking their lips and looking forward to jumping on that gnannou guy. Tons of easy money.

Parker uses gnannou as a mop and cleans the canvas with him and the same goes for every decent HW.

However, I hope I'm wrong and gnannou accepts the fight. Looking forward to it.

There is one simple fact I have pointed out in this thread.

Parker is MUCH younger than all the other champs.

Will it be enough to allow real improvements? Maybe.

And as the others all retire, it is still possible he may have a chance to shine.

A lot of SHWs peak in their 30s

    Maybe Parker will too

He may, but given the trajectory of his career to date, the evidence might indicate he has already peaked.

    You may be right, Rummy.

But I feel it is far too early to write Parker off - given his age.

At 31 years old, he is still ranked HW #5 by Ring Magazine.

Can he come again? Yes. But will he? Only time will tell

I agree with the greater point you're making here, but at the same time a big later career surge from Parker would surprise me a great deal at this point. Then again, what the hell do I know? I've been wrong before, and I'll surely be wrong again.

I used to be a big fan of Parker. These days I am in 2 minds.

But his youth at least gives him some chance to turn things around...
