Totally agree, baffled by a few comments in this thread. Parker in one fight has a better resume than AJ ffs. He looked gassed after 5 but came through against a genuine live opponent. Used his jab well towards the end. Just needs to brush up his defence. Proved he has a chin too.
Parker looks a good boxer, come through a very tough fight and some heavy punches. On the downside his stamina looks suspect which can be worked on. Think he needs another year before stepping up but has very good potential. Takam would be a dangerous fight for anybody.
Very good fight which i expected Parker has potential a lot of things to work on but showed good skill set and toughness.Takam is a fighter many heavyweights have swerved. Right decision and accurate scorecards by the judges which was good to see.
haha 'Takam is better than anyone AJ has been in with' straight the whyte lol Brutal. not true either
Agree should have him on more doesn't sit on the fence and says what he thinks not the company line :good
Hope he travels well though. Will have to come to London for his IBF shot unless AJ loses against Breazeale.
Whyte's comments were spot on. "He did alright. He did well but as a heavyweight contender, I'd love to fight Joseph Parker. I see so many holes in his game. He's got quick hands and is strong but after every combination he throws, he leaves his head right in the centre. "I would love to get a crack at Joseph Parker at some point this year. "It was all about the win but I don't think Takam is better than me. At one stage he probably was but I don't think he is right now. I think Takam is on his last legs and has got into a sparring partner's mentality. He does just enough to get through the rounds and never had that drive and desire to win the rounds. "I thought Takam could've stopped Parker if he had that extra pace and extra gear. Parker did a lot of smart things also and paced the fight well. He made the right bursts to beat a one-paced Carlos Takam. "Takam will have a lot of regrets when he wakes up in the morning. He will ask why he didn't go that extra mile. Or maybe he'll wake up and say he's had enough."
Let's see if Eddie gets Takam in with Whyte next if he is so confident. Would be a cracking fight and I think anyone not at World Level will get a shock being in the ring with Takam.
Whyte is delusional. He's proven absolutely nothing compared to Parker. Parker just beat a guy better than anyone Whyte, AJ or Hughie Fury have ever beaten. Probably a better win than anything Haye has at HW too. Back to Whyte, this is a guy who was being repeatedly tagged and out jabbed by Brian Minto. He's a slugger who has fought nobody. The only thing he has proven is that he has an iron chin. He has proven nothing else and said he needs a few tune ups before he takes on Dave ****ing Allen. Yet he thinks he can take on either Parker or Takam and stop them. He wouldn't take those fights let alone win them.
