No point to this rematch Diaconu is just a straight forward slugger with not much versatility in his style . Bring on Pascal vs Dawson or Pascal vs Cloud which is a much better fight. And the 1st fight was orite it wasn't great though, Pascal clearly is the better fighter but Diaconu is not exactly the hardest opponent to outbox so put Pascal in against better fighters and we will then see if he hangs with the big boys at the top. To me he boxed well in that fight and fought a smart fight, against Froch he fought the wrong fight. Against Branco he was just swinging wildly and clinching. but I do like Pascal he is a tough fight for anybody but I think he does alot of wild stuff in there at times.
Nice, hope Diaconu catches Pascal overtrained and/or taking him lightly. But Diaconu neesdd a different approach.
Didn`t he receive a green card by the courtousy of Diaconu` team? He wasn`t mandatory challenger at that time.He has a bill to pay, buddy.Until then, officially, is unproven champion.
Point or not, Pascal received something he didn`t have earnt at that time. He wasn`t official challenger, man. If Diaconu `s team wouldn`t have want the fight, you wouldn`t speak up now. The canadian OWS A REMATCH!
i heard Pascal is also a friend of Dirrell, they became friend during the 2004 olympic. i'll try to find a link.
If that is the case then fair enough but then I think it was pretty conclusive on what is going to happen in the rematch to be honest. I think Pascal is always going to beat a fighter like Diaconu because Diaconu was not really ad******g in there, not from what I could see anyway. It's one of those Tarver vs Dawson 2 rematches but with a bit more drama in the fight probably.
really? it was a foty candidate? i thought pascal won by a mile. diaconu couldn't get off and didn't really do **** the entire fight. i'm somewhat disappointed that cloud isn't getting in there with pascal right now off his impressive win against clinton woods (as shot as woods might be). pascal ud.
Pascal says Dirrell has the fastest hands he's ever seen and that Froch is the hardest hitting fighter he's been in the ring with. He's going to Nottingham.. not sure who he'll be rooting for as he is friendly with both combatants.
