Credit to a very good boxer who still has a chance to cature that elusive world title. One of his victims, Stipe Drews, has actually gone on to become WBA champion (not just "regular" champ, but actual champ :D).

Any word on the Garay fight? It's off boxrec, and Paul is slated for October now, not September.

Apparently it has been called off. Don't know why. It would be great if Drews would rematch Briggs, and give him the chance to grab that title like he deserves.

I have a funny feeling Briggs might not be able to beat Drews in a rematch.

Drews might fight abit smarter and use his advantages next time instead of throwing knees, headbutts etc etc

Drews isn't as adept as Danny at targetting the soft part on the top of the skull. Briggs UD Drews.:deal

They both deserve to be punished for that farce.

Hey they may both be a disgrace and lets be blunt now that Phil no longer posts here the IBO is a disgrace for sanctioning this **** but why should Paul Briggs be penalised 75K of which I played a small part by ordering the PPV yet Green and the IBO pocket their sanctioning fees and profits. And lets not forget this 'fight' came hot on the heels of the 6 fights in 6 years just out of rehab Siaca 'World Title' fight. I bet the 75K they withheld from Briggsy's purse ended back up in GMP pockets.
