I really do think Prescott should have had the decision, but it went to McCloskey because he was the Home fighter. Prescott won 7 rounds in my estimation, and got the knockdown. I think in a neutral venue the decision, albeit close, would have gone his way. Was impressed by both fighters, but Breidis impressed me more.
Prescott. I gave him 3 of the first 4 rounds. I think his burst at the end of the 12th gave him that round and even though McCloskey turned it around I still had Prescott taking rounds.
Iv'e watched the fight 3 times and scored it differently in all 3, I had McCloskey by a round when I watched on the Saturday, Sunday morning I had Prescott by a round and a few days later I had it a draw, which I think is the fairest outcome TBH
I always say when the home fighter 'wins' by only a point or two.. he usually didn't really win and I think this applies here.
But I guess the argument is that once again it wasn't a case of either getting the decision. 50/50 fights that could be called either way.. 90% of the time go to the home fighter.
