What does that have to do with the guy I was responding to wishing it was on HBO, so his Grandmother could see it?

McCloskey has excellent fundamentals an i wouldn't be to surprised at an upset here.

Khan can still be hit quite cleanly, he plants his feet square when using the combos, Maidana got through alot with the uppercuts, fighting inside, McCloskey won't be as easy to hit on the inside while also has a very under-rated, maybe under-used Uppercut of himself. Pauls talked about this fight a while now an it was starting to look like he wouldn't get a chance. Fair play to Khan if he takes this. He's gonna need to stay smart in this one, draw on all that experence from the amateurs.

Schaefer has said Mccloskey is not an option for them atm.

The three possible mentioned if the Peterson fight falls through are : Murray, Prescott and Matthyse.

    My personal preference? Matthyse :D

No looks like the fight is Mccloskey Peterson out priced himself. Murray wouldnt fight him he has been protected all the way what makes you think they would put there man in for a carrer ending beating, caz thats what he would get.

khan may take this fight since Paul has very little KO power.

McCloskey deserves his shot. One of the most annoying thing about boxing is worthy fighters who have gone about their business the right way not getting a title shot because a TV company in America doesn't want it.

That aside, I would say it would be adecent test for Khan in between unification fights. I would say that McCloskey has about a 20% chance of winning. But in the end I see Khan taking it on a UD or maybe a mid round stoppage......

To the guys who say McCloskey isnt worthy of a shot, get a ****ing grip of yourselves. Just beacause you haven't heard of a fighter doesnt make him a 'tomato can'...

I like McCloskey hes a good fighter, he has never lost a fight and he has earned a shot at the big time.

Anyone knows if McCloskey is a converted southpaw (meaning that he's right handed) ? I'm watching some of his fights and I'm not sure. He's got a good left uppercut, but he seems to put a lot of strenght in his jabs and right hook like a Miguel Cotto.

I had never watched him, he's fun to watch. I didn't expect to see an irish light welter weight doing some shoulder roll ! haha ! :good

AN Irishman who is a slickster southpaw (check out eamonn magee flooring Hatton in round 1 and hurting him in rd 2) is a rare sight. no he is not converted, he has been beating up fools with his slick southpaw style since the amateurs

McCloskye has a great shoulder roll also
