Paul McCloskey Looking Very Slow

I just seen his workout videos on youtube that were taken yesterday, I know he is not 100% there but damn that was slow, Perhaps he is relying on his head movement and foot movement to get out of Khans combinations but I really see this fight being like Khan -V- Malignaggi II

Khans jab will be in McCloskeys face because McCloskey carries his hands low and his face will mark up because of the constant Jabs, I see Khan just jabbing McCloskey in the eyes and then backing him up with more jabs followed by huge body shots.

Lets see what happens, I dont see how McCloskey could outbox Khan, Khan doesnt get outboxed he gets knocked out and since the Maidana fight I dont think Paul has even a punchers chance.

Mccloskey has no footwork. Reminds me of James Toney at times the way he moves.

Its a public workout, its a massive fight.

    He aint giving nothing away.

Kev Maree also explained as to why fighters can be like this before fights too.

It wasn't his footwork that made him an ATG though, was it? And that's the only comparison he made

    Fair point.

I retract my previous somewhat snide comment

Poor James always gets a mention when poor feet comes to mind, a bit like McGuigan always gets a mention when someone is arguing for a fighter to enter the HOF.

Luckly Toney had so much more to compensate for it.

Why is khan shrieking like Sharapova hitting a serve everytime he throws a punch?

I like McCloskey as a fighter but...he's not going to get away with shite footwork in this fight. That's okay against Europeans who don't know how to move themselves and are very basic. He can stand with them, slip and slide, throw his weird shots. That's fine but, you've got to imagine him with a fast lead in his face now, the odd right hand keeping him off balance, hows he going to counter it? His reflexes are going to have to be superb to do that, and even if he does, he's still got to get into range to throw himself. I'm not sure what his dimensions are but he doesn't seem as long as Khan and even if he is he's effectively an underdog in that battle for range due to the speed and punching technique of both men. He's just going to be off balance a whole lot in this fight and in desperation mode after a while because I've seen nothing precise in his movement that suggests he's going to draw leads and make Amir fall short, nor any transition game thats going to take him from the outside to a range where he can be effective. He's going to be stuck in the middle ground getting ****ed over, reliant on Khan over extending and making silly mistakes. Which is not impossible but, you don't want to be going in there with the other guy holding all the keys.

McClos always hits the pads and shadowboxes slow especially in front of cameras. (actually, only really seen him do it like that in front of cameras) same goes for his sparring, highlander hit it on the head.

    you'll see this saturday.

Khan should beat him early I reckon, within a couple of rounds.
