It's a classless response. Not even said well done to Chunky. It's a article of excuses cos he got his arse handed to him in front of his fans.

 

Paul Smith is like another Alex Arthur for me, some ppl, with really good judgement and boxing knowledge, seem to see an ATG fighter in there somewhere, that i simply dont see. Cos everytime i've seen him, he's been absolute garbage, and got a couple of lucky decisions. I was thinking with him fighting Degale on a big stage,i'd finally see his skillset, but once again he flattered to decieve.

Smith lost every second of every round and was the Jeff Lacy to DeGales Joe Calzaghe.

It must have really hurt his pride to be so dominated and embarrassed in front of his home crowd and although the stoppage was a tad premature it was correct...Smith just could not take anything Chunky had to offer.

Also it is funny calling DeGale 'chunky' when you see the body on Smigga.

Degale would hammer him every time that they fought.

 

I'm not the greatest loser myself so can understand why he feels pissed off at certain things, though I feel the stoppage was about right.

In fairness he's been honest about some things that went wrong for him, his performance wasn't great and DeGale was certainly treading the line between legal and illegal on a few occasions - as he has himself previously.

He just needs to dust himself off and get back in the ring asap, couple of quick knockover jobs and then back in the mix come the summer.

Lack of class from Smith. DeGale's a decent lad with a bright future and Smith should be giving him the credit he deserves.
