    Stop trying to discredit him. Paul is very good. And if Ward gets through this challenge, I can safely put him back to top 3 p4p. He deserves it. He can carry where he left off.

    That's just dumb

    But Ward was #2 b4 he was taken off the list. If he comes back and puts on a performance against a very game Smith, I can add him back. Very fair imo. :deal

    In absolute terms, Smith is a decent fighter. Not a top15 but respectable enough guy. He has no chance against Ward though and everyone knows it. He is a de-rusting tuneup guy.

    Theres no reason to try and make this guy look like a top contender, because no one really faults Ward for taking a soft touch after so long away from the ring. Its not like he was going to take on Froch, Kovalev or GGG his first bout back after 2 years (and his 2nd fight in what, 4? ) nor does anyone expect him too. He will easily UD this guy, then we get to see what the Roc is cooking.

    Smith will do well to see 6 rounds, this is a fighter stopped by DeGale and Groves when they were basically novices.

    I agree it's funny how someone will spend time talking up fighters just so that when their heroes beat them they can feel better about what was a joke fight.

    MVC is a guy who builds up Rod Salka in his mind, so he can think more of Danny Garcia, who he only praises so much as a fighter because he believed he would get fed to Floyd.

    Smith is decent at domestic and maybe Euro level. He doesn't belong at the top though. He's a nice guy and a good pundit for Sky, but no where near world class. There's no need for Ward fans to big him up; people understand it's a tune up fight
