Yeah, but the science, or art, is in detecting those whose questionable whiskers making them MORE likely to get knocked out, BEFORE it happens. The Chincheckers have done this here at ESB, time and again. I called Fraudley getting starched TWO YEARS before it actually happened. And took all sorts of **** from the usual suspects too. Same with Khan.
I remember that guy.He was going to go round knocking people out.Loves training those arms but walks straight past the squat rack, leg press etc.
Called what? A lot of people predicted a Martinez stoppage [not quite in that fashion] and you actually predicted Williams would win handily in this fight, so you didn't call **** all. If you are talking about calling him getting knocked out. Well **** me sideways, let me see. A guy with a non-existent defense, who continues to float around in between weights higher than his natural one, taking on top fighters, continuing to take a tonne of punches getting knocked out? ****ing hell Nostradamus, aren't you a fantastic predictor. Most people would have predicted Williams getting knocked out at some point. You however, did not predict it as being this fight. You didn't call anything because his chin is not questionable. He got caught by a punch that would have felled pretty much anybody at middleweight. Let alone a guy who can still make welterweight and he is - even by Martinez' team's own admission - a 154lber at best.
Surely the longer it takes the worse your prediction is.If you had said"Williams will be knocked out"after watching his 2nd fight and it took until fight 41 for it to happen thats a bad prediction. These are pro fighters, its very likely they will at some point be knocked out.
Same ol' unprovable bull****. When Williams's shaky chin gets shattered again, what are you gonna say?? That punch woulda KOd anybody?? :rofl :rofl Glass Jaws exist in boxing, and I call 'em when I see 'em, along with my fellow Chincheckers. And if you listened to us, you might learn something. But you glass jaw deniers are like flat earthers. Reality can slap you in the face a thousand times and you still believe your myths!
The shot from Sprott that did for Audley would have knocked out most heavyweights. It was poor defence from Audley not his chin that was the problem.
Not every fighter gets knocked out cold, and certainly not multiple times. Guys with glass jaws do. But you're right, most fighters' chins are shaky to one degree or another - which is what I have been trying to educate boxing fans about. They refuse to accept it though. Glad that you can see it! :good
Id say guys who either do not learn and change their style or who are quite happy to risk getting caught in order to land their own shots (hearns, julian Jackson,Kirkland Laing).
You are talking about hypothetical's you senile old ****. Things that haven't even happened yet. If and when we get to that position, we will discuss it. So you're telling me that a fighter with an average chin would have stayed up from that shot? Again, you are a senile old **** who doesn't listen. I'm not denying that bad chins exist, that there are fighters who don't take punches particularly well. What you fail to understand is that not every fighter that gets knocked out has a glass jaw. That includes Williams. Seriously, what the **** is wrong with you? Is this dementia finally kicking in? Because I've never said - and nor has anybody else - that there aren't fighters who can't take punches well. What we've said all alone is that not every fighter who gets knocked out, hurt, knocked down etc has a glass jaw. Seriously, you are one of the biggest ****s on these forums and have been for a long time. Thankfully the day will come where I'm posting on here and don't have to listen to your ****ing drabble. PS: You're boyfriend Zelenoff has a glass jaw. Why haven't you ever made a thread about that?
So in the hypothetical sense, a guy gets knocked out at 160 by Hearns in 84, then Jackson in 88, then McClellan in 93, all with one punch. Does that automatically mean he has a glass jaw? No. 'Guys with glass jaws' get put through the ropes by bums like Andrew Hartley.
I can't tell you what a fighter with an average chin would or wouldn't have done, just like you can't tell me that "that punch would've kod anybody." What I can tell you is that a punch from a guy with an ordinary (50%) KO percentage knocked Williams out cold. That makes his chin shaky, at minimum. It remains to be seen if it is indeed glass. Not every fighter that gets knocked down or knocked out has a glass jaw, but they sure don't have rock solid chins either. In fact, most fighters' chins are shaky to one degree or another. Chin analysis involves separating the merely shaky from the pure glass jaws - something I've proven myself adept at for longer than you've been alive!
i feel such a fool. its only 4 days since i praised paul williams for not being an american hypejob and yet here we are, not only did williams lose to c-level quintana but he has been embarrassingly ko'd by a feather fisted fighter :-( i pride myself on my precise ability to be able to detect a hollow egg shell chin before its even hatched but i really didn't see this one coming. paul williams was brutally ko'd by a fighter with a 50% ko ratio, his chin has been brutally shattered and i think its fair to say that this won't be the last time, as we all know that once those shaky whiskers have been exposed, they will never be the same again :dead i literally can't wait to see the imminent release of 46and0's movie masterpiece 'glass jaws - staying shattered'. williams could end up being the major star of the eagerly anticipated sequel :deal
