well cotto has never beaten a current p4p top 10 fighter, and quit in his last fight against a guy who wasn't in the top 20 p4p, and yet he still stays at #8.

He did what Cotto got the **** beat out of him for trying to do... Beat Margarito. Cotto would lose to Margo 8 times out of 10, and most people think Paul would beat him at least 5 out of 10.

He should be higher than Cotto. That ranking is indefensible, regardless of how hyped Cotto was by Bob Arum. Think about it. Does he really deserve credit for a victory against Zab? Shane was a pretty good win, but what else is there?????????

Cotto shouldn't be 8th period. He was beaten by a guy barely ranked in the top 25.:deal

If that's the case what is Margo doing there? He beat a small Cotto and got ranked in the top 10.

If they can make the weight and win, then more powerful to them. If you think there is a problem with that, its a flaw in the system and not the fighter's fault. Williams at least, is moving throughout the weight divisions against larger opponents. Its great to see him do that but as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't have to. If they can make the Welterweight limit, win fights, and hold the championship then they are a Welterweight.

This bull**** argument about Paul not being a Welterweight is so ****ing ridiculous, especially when you hear it from someone who is a diehard Margarito fan. Margarito is absolutely no better, and when they fought, came in the ring about 1/2 pound under Williams' weight. What's the ****in difference?

Rafa w/ his two consecutive losses should now be out of the top #10. Darchi should be there now at 10. Williams at 9.

I agree witht the top 5 but the rest of the list is crap. Williams hasn't done **** aside from slightly outpoint Margarito to even be considered and lost to a fighter who at the time was not a top ten welter. If that's the case, why isn't Chris John on the list? Margarito is a one-dimensional, one-division fighter, great at welter, but p4p? Cotto lost but has fought quality competition. Rafael lost twice although he has proven himself against quality competition. Calderon fights at 108 and is really kind of mystery. Yet Darchiniyan moves up in weight and KOs Mijares and he isn't even considered? Why isn't Winky still on there? He only lost to B-Hop? It really makes no sense. Here's my list from 6 down:

    6. Winky Wright (beaten more champs than anyone on list, only loss is to Bhop at 170)
    7. W. Klitschko (dominant, who else does he need to beat?)
    8. David Haye (dominant and now moving up in weight)
    9. Chad Dawson (has wins against Tarver and, although not dominant, against Glen Johnson, and could also probably fight at 168
    10. Mikkel Kessler (Dominant at weightclass with the exception of a competitive loss to Calzaghe)
