PWill wasn't able to hurt Ishida.

Junior weighs 180 on fight night.

    You're welcome.

On the inside i'd take Jr to bang that body. I think PDub will fold late.

    Chavez Jr. wins.

Having said that, don't think I rate Chavez Jr. as an A-level type fighter because he isn't. Right now, he's probably a low B-level type fighter who will peak at being a mid-to-high B level type fighter. But at this point in Paul Williams career Chavez Jr. is the type of opponent that will swarm him and probably stop him. It will be a competitive and action packed fight, but not because Chavez Jr. is that good. It's because PW has slowed down that much. That brutal KO he suffered against Martinez was a career changer. He hasn't looked the same since. See the Lara and Ishida fights. That is not the PW we saw against Margarito or Wright. PW is done against the top-tier fighters.

Its amazing how many posters pick based on their hatred for a fighter.

I know it is that time of the month for you haters and your high estrogen levels are affecting your decisions. But would you honestly put some money on PW in this one?

Get outta here!!! Chavez stops PW and stops him hard. Ishida had basically no power and was catching PW and stunning him whenever he got off. Chavez is much bigger than Ishida and he does have legitimate power. This fight probably would not go more than 5 rounds. Oh yea and do you honestly think PW has the power to hurt Chavez?
Chavez may have flaws but his biggest attribute is his heart and chin.

If only he was Brazilian you would be licking his nuts.

Shut up. You are one of the worst posters on this forum. To you it is all about where a fighter is from. Take a knee Puerto Rican.

I am thinking this but i am also thinking about Williams before the KO.
He hasn't looked good since. Looked completely shot against Lara and only decent against Ishida.
Ihida shook him and was able to bully him a few times.
    Chavez UD :huh

I want to see Paul against Lara one more time.

if williams didnt block shots with his face he'd work junior over but damn its harder to find water from a boat than it is to find his dome. its just hard to pick williams against a guy chavez's size. not saying paul couldnt take this b/c junior isnt a very difficult puzzle to solve.

if chavez doesnt freeze up at the volume coming this way and trades with williams he has a shot. if not, williams will take it.

Does anyone actually think even a prime PW could hurt Jr.?

PW is one of the most overrated fighters in recent times. I find it laughable he even made it on peoples top 5 p4p lists. He reminds me of Hatton in how they were very highly regarded yet looked like garbage when he stepped up to fight here in the US.

Even a prime PW could not beat the Chavez Jr. of today.

He wont. Williams was never a puncher but he had pop. He outworked most of his opponents and broke them down.

Lets not get carried away with the overrated talk. He had a really close fight with Martinez and made him go life and death.

But you know that Martinez took that fight in 2 weeks notice right? Also it was at 160 if I am not mistaken and Martinez had never fought at the weight.

In the rematch we saw what would happen when PW fought an elite fighter closer to his size.

The thing that always bothered me about PW is that he would call everyone out who would make him serious money and kept saying he had problems getting fights but there was guys like Clottey and Dzinziruk calling him out and he played dumb. those would have been good fights for him and he more than likely could have won but he did not feel he needed to take the risk. He basically just wanted big fights awarded to him without doing the dirty work.

Kinda true but if you look at his resume you can see how he climbed so high (top 5 was ridiculous).

He beat Margarito, took out Quintana in 1 round and outclassed Wright.
Not anything too special but he still did it and beat a few contenders.

Williams was good when he fought smaller men. Now he is broken.

I never said he was a power puncher. He does have power though. The thing with him is that he fights more off volume but when he picks his shot specially like in the MAnfredo fight you can see the punches do more damage. I would like to see him continue to fight like he did in that fight.
