Paul Williams Vs Winky Wright: OFFICIAL ON FOR APRIL!!!

I like the fight. Outcome depends on which Winky shows up. He did fairly good vs. Hopkins in an unusual weight-class. How good? Just watch Kelly Pavlik vs. the old fox at the same weight! If he can make those months look like a long, intensive training camp, he will beat Paul Williams.

However a year and a half away from the ring, being 37, coming down in weight and suffering an injury recently (if I'm right) usually ends up in poor performances. I'm sure that's why Team Williams is taking the risk, but if Winky wasn't away from the gym all the time, they are in for a big surprise.

INITIAL THOUGHTS?

HIGH VOLUME OF PUNCHES

Winky and Williams are gonna be winging a lot of shots, and they are both gonna take a lot of shots, this fight is going to be fought almost entirely at the center of the ring. It is going to feature cuts and swollen faces and non-stop action, and the X-Factors are going to make the lead-up to the fight intriguing as all get-out.

I think Williams will win the decision, but I think Winky will win the FIGHT. A close fight. Williams will not stop and neither will Winky, but neither of them are getting knocked out by a long shot.

Expect to see William's left eye nearly swollen shut from the right jab of winky, but Williams will win it with his flashy roundhouse hooks and height advantage.

This is a really risky fight and Winky is a hard fight for anybody, especially for paul at 160. That guy that Paul Koed at 160 is no where near Winky's league, this is a completely different fight. Winky was out of shape and underprepared for Hopkins at 170 and it still made it a competitive fight for Hopkins.

I think it's an interesting fight...and although prophet makes a good point about sergi and unfinished business at 147...he'll make his way to those people eventually.

I'm sure people at 147 though will avoid him to the greatest lengths if he beats Winky.

So he'll be stuck at 154 and 160 if he beats WInky...I seriously doubt he'll really do anymore business at the WW division
