Quintana outboxed Williams BAD in the first fight. He got KO'd in the second fight. Ok, true. But Floyd is 50 times better, especially his defense. Floyd by wide UD.

Williams was also not even caring about the fight. He thought he would steam over Quitana

i am a big floyd fan, but despite that i think floyd would have trouble, crush pbf on the other hand is exaggeration. The guy has fought bigger fighters for most of his life. Its a mismatch imo, paul williams is a 6 footer and is too big for the natural 140lber mayweather

PBF is a farce at Welterweight. He ducked just about every good fighter (cotto, mosley, williams, margarito). His resume is overrated too and the O in his record is too. When you have a long complete career you do not have the O anymore.

Williams would beat Floyd on a close but clear (if that makes sense) UD. I'm convinced of it.

nah he really would crush him. this shouldnt diminish floyd much as his body of work is at 130-135. when people discuss floyd when hes retired, there not going to be talking about what he did at 140-147, but rather the fact that he didnt belong there but could still compete.

its funny how you include margocheator as a good fighter:rofl:rofl

And lastly his resume, a lot of fighters right now would wish they had a resume like floyd:deal You don't do something like floyd did with only 39 fights and call that overrated. He didn't fought dozens of cab drivers to pad his resume

its funny you said that but he's been retired for almost 2 years now and people keep talking about him on a daily basis including 140-147:deal

Considering that it was a close fight... Williams wasn't trying to hard.

the reason this thread was made im willling to bet is because the op knew floyd was comming back, but wouldnt fight PW. i think everybody and there mother knew that retirement wasnt going to last for that guy. i expected him to sit back, let the division work itself out to his favor, and then come back when he found something attractive. guess what? when paq beats hatton he will have done just that.

i agree with you, i think he will fight marquez next or the winner of pac-hatton if he's willing to wait long enough. But isn't it obvious floyd wouldn't want to do anything with williams, that guy is freaking huge, long arms and a high workrate. Its a huge mismatch and i seriously think williams should look upward and not downward. Theres still the likes of hopkins, pavlik, abraham
