Skinny little *******, he ****ed a 4 way bet for me. Ahh well, I should have followed my gut instinct and picked Paulie like I was going to, I thought he won the first fight clearly too.
To his defense he DID imply throughout many interviews that it was Buddy McGirt that cost him that fight and NOT what Hatton brought to the table. And to be seriously frank, Hatton was rocked more times than Diaz was in their fights with Malignaggi...which equates to Hatton being past his better days when Pacman faced him.
Paulie won A LOT of money for me tonight, i'm estatic...at the last minute I thought Diaz would put more pressure on...I gotta tell ya something...Diaz looked very tenative compared to the first fight...and Paulie was just too fast, too sharp, and his defense was significant better....but diaz looked like ****.. When they made the first fight, people thought Paulie might be shot... I'm thinking Diaz has peaked...not shot...but he certainly looked tenative...
exactly... paulie only outlanded diaz by like 20 punches, and again, over 100 were jabs if that kind of fighter floats your boat, then ride this wave all you can cause paulie ran from a short, pudgy lightweight :deal
I didnt see the same fight at all... First fight i saw Diaz getting to Paulie plenty, appyling almost constant pressure, making paulie retreat constantly, ect, ect... i had that a close fight. This fight, i see Paulie not so much retreating as much as circling and countering beautifully, having better defence, landing better punches, actually hurting diaz, and overall just dominating the fight, and i saw an uncharicteristic lack of hustle and activity from Diaz. Great, great fight from Malignaggi, im happy he got the win.... was rooting for him. Glad to see his success. But imo, hardly the same fight at all imo. Also, this also shows me peoples complete underrating of Hatton. People act like hes nothing but a punching bag, fact is he completely dominated paulie and is the only person to ever stop him. The guys lost to Mayweather and Pac... big deal. Hes a class fighter and it showed when he fought Malignaggi, ya, he was past it, and malignaggi can use the trainer excuse all he wants but it is what it is imo.
Diaz should retire ,if he cant beat a bum like Paula how's he going to beat the top guys? And Paula went from taking female hormones to horse hormones, all of a sudden she can punch i hope they got tested for illegal substances.
Yayyy Paulie's back. And his precious hair even stayed in place this time. And yayyyy, I can't wait to see his next performance in which he clowns and showboats instead of following up on a RARE good punch. Yayyy Paulie's back.
Easy to say now. If Hatton ever got back into shape and had the will to fight he would beat paulie again.
I'm a hatton fan as well...hatton's technical skills of cutting off the ring, jab(when he does use it)...and overall better smart pressure style...beats paulie, if its a smart well prepared hatton....I honestly think with serif younan in paulie's corner, he takes a faded hatton to the cleaners.... Usually a guy that beats you senseless you never want to see again...paulie is screaming for this fight...which indicates it was really an off night with mcgirt last year.... Paulie is not screaming for a fight with cotto, he says cotto would always be a tough fight for him, and the best fighter he ever faced.... My guess is you see paulie in maybe 2-3 more fights....but paulie will suprise some people imo....people thought he was clearly shot at the start of last year... His N'dou 1 performance is still his best...but he seems to fight smarter with younan in his corner...
