That MIGHT be because they all agree with you that Kelly Pavlik is fast, is a better boxer than Abraham and that Hopkins punches as hard as Aurthur Abraham :rofl but i don't. And also i have been analyzing and studying boxing and its history for years, i just don't put people on my ignore list for stating their opinions, especially if i made a thread asking for opinions the way you did.

Not only that but i actually think Pascal would actually give Taylor a hard time as well. Hes a lot faster and a good boxer on top of having a great chin, he would be a very live underdog if an underdog at all. Froch on the other hand, is all wrong for Jermaine. He poses the same type of threat that Kelly did. Hes a big, strong, well conditioned, hard punching boxer that throws counter punches from awkward angles and can exploit his defensive issued and lack of stamina late. Notice how Taylor wasn't matched against any punchers when he was first coming into the ranks?

While you are studying boxing, take a few moments to do some vocabulary studies and look up "antagonist".

    Antagonist:

    1. One who opposes and contends against another; an adversary.

    2. The principal character in opposition to the protagonist or hero of a narrative or drama.

Good thread Boo. I haven't popped in with much, I just can't see where there is anything to even say. :!:

Plus, as you have pointed out, these AA cats are not quite as fun as the Calzombies.

Oh where to begin with this one.Pascal "a lot faster" than Taylor. Dude, he would have to be ripping muscles off the bone to be "a lot faster" than Taylor. Pascal and Froch looked like a couple of damned windmills trying to get airborne in their fight. Taylor has enough power and speed to pot shot the hell out of either.

Sorry. Froch doesn't have the work rate or skill of Kelly Pavlik. Froch doesn't have the resume of Taylor or Pavlik. This fight would be a brutal learning experience for him and I truly believe Froch could be Taylors first stop in a very long time. You say you study? Watch Pavlik/Taylor 2 back to back with Froch/Pascal and tell me you still believe this.

:think Maybe. Atleast with the other battles we've had the antagonist would atleast once in a while make you stop and say "hmmm".

Slicksouthpaw only has 535 posts. He's just a prospect, and clealry not ready for the Pavlik Nation. We should give him a chance to build up his skills against the *******s and gayweathers. If he keeps trying to mess with Pavlickers, he's gonna get knocked the **** out:hey

Taylor didn't look exactly lighting fast against Lacy( who is now a come forward punching bag who tries to box), and Pascal IMO has one of the fastest hands in the division. The reason why Froch and Pascal looked like ''windmills'' as you say is because when you have to awkward styles the way they do, you normally won't get a pretty fight. Both have looked better in the past against fighters with a normal fighting style. See Pascal vs Ikeke or Froch against Reid, both( Froch and Pascal that is) are very talented and world class.

Froch is a lot bigger than Pavlik is and has more one punch power, on top of having the more unpredictable style of the two. He also shows great power in BOTH hands and has a rock solid chin. I like Froch over Taylor and Pavlik to be honest. All you have to do is watch these fights. Look back at Taylor vs Lacy and Taylor vs Pavlik 2. Jermaine faded in a little of the half of the fight and both of those matches, so how he would he escape Froch who is an accurate puncher and has great stamina even late? If you take a look at Pascal vs Froch, watch in the later rounds how Carl stopped banging with Pascal and was able to pick Pascal off with his left jab at will, his skills are severely underrated. Pavlik on the other hand, is not where he wants to be defensively wise against an accurate awkward puncher like Froch, and he is vulnerable to his favorite punch at will. The right uppercut because of the way Kelly keeps his hands. Hopkins was able to rattle him with a left hookercut and power wise alone, he is not close to Froch.
