I see Kessler outpointing both AA and Pavlik, however Pavlik does have a chance of stopping him in the later rounds due to his constant pressure, maybe even breaking kesslers will to fight. I see Pavlik possibly stopping AA in the later rounds but most probably winning on points.
Aggreed. The fact that Kessler lacks lateral movement could cause problems for himself against Kelly. But he may just work on this prior to the fight. He is a pretty skilled boxer and quite calm in the ring, so he may just adapt. I mean in the andrade fight he was moving side to side, slipping and landing quite often and cleanly with his razor sharp 1-2. I'm not saying Pavlik is similar to Andrade, just that he can move well in the ring if need be.
In fact - Kessler and Taylor fights in kind of the same way. But Kessler is leagues ahead of Taylor in numerous offence and defence skills. I dont buy the thing that KP is able to make Kessler back and not throw his money punch (the jab). I do believe that KP will struggle with the fast and accurate jab and KP will not be able to hit MK as much as much because of the defence. Kessler has the upper hand in this fight - also against AA. But I actually believe that AA has the better odds against Kessler because of the swinging hooks and somehow, at times wild power punches.
Kessler didn't really utilise lateral movement against Andrade, he was still first going back, then to the side. His natural movement is straight back, which is probably something he learnt at a young age and continues to do, despite training. Kessler has the tools to be great, but not the training.
These days Abraham is being given WAY to much credit because of a KO win over Mranda. IT WAS EDISON MIRANDA guys! What Pavlik did in 7 rounds took AA 16 rounds. Arthur had to fight Miranda twice to register 1 convincing win. Pavlik put a beating on Miranda that totally eliminated any need for a 2nd fight ever. Based on an analysis of reume's, skills, and physical attributes, Pavlik has to be favored over AA. Authur has a punchers chance at best. If Kessler did that deer in the headlights routine against Pavlik that he did with Joe, DEAD MEAT! However, in all fairness, I'm willing to give Mikell the benefit of the doubt because of the pre-fight hand injury. That could be why he was so hesitant to pull the trigger. Style make fights, and based on styles Kessler and Pavlik are both real bad news for AA.
andrade keept coming for all 12 rounds and kessler loves to counter an rageing bull http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzY6PS6N2nE
Andrade also misses over 60% of punches thrown in every fight, he missed 90% of the punches he threw against Kessler. It's not a fair comparison to compare Pavlik and Andrade simply because they both pressure fight.
I do see similarities between Pavlik and Andrade, but what Librado does at a "C+" level Pavlik does at an "A" level.
-and my god andrade can eat gloves without a blink. hes a f... bulldozer with a face made of rhino-skin
Based on styles Pavlik is bad news for Abraham,eh!!!!! Why????? Up to now Abraham has only had problems with mobile runners like Gainer and Ayala. He has never shown any signs of weakness against fighters who want to duke it out.As far as I know Pavlik isnt known to be a mobile runner or the American version of Sven Ottke. Dont get me wrong though! Pavlik vs Abraham could really go either way,but to claim that Pavlik has the wrong style for Abraham is silly. There is no base for such a statement. Kessler? He is much bigger than both Pavlik and Abraham, but he doesnt have as much pop in his fists as the American and the Armenian. I would favour both Pavlik and Abraham against Kessler, but wouldnt be surprised either to learn that he has won point decision against either fighter.
Kessler I would favour to outpoint Pavlik and Abraham aswell, I would pick Abraham to KO Pavlik late .
