i wouldnt bet any money on this fight .king a throws wide hooks allowing pavlik in with the straight jabs if the hooks dont catch pavlik first.???hmmm.
if the fought six times they could have three wins each in my eyes.

His style is actually to counterpunch. Which he does very well, counterpunching is a great style against somebody like Pavlik who is a come forward fighter.

Abraham would strugle against defensive stylists who he would have to attack.

AA soaks up Pavlik's right hands with his turtle shell defense and his amazing chin, counters back with wide left hooks that shatter Pavlik's chin. Night night.

Zertuche is the same league as Elcock.

Let's go WAY back to Danny Lopez/Salvador Sanchez. Salvador Sanchez was a very clever counter puncher, and he used that ability to beat 7 shades of **** out of Little Red, but AA is no Sanchez, and I think Kelly is much more versatile than Danny ever was.

Pavlik is very much a come forward fighter, but he is a helluva lot better at it than anyone AA has faced. On the other hand, AA hits harder, and is better at counter punching than anyone Pavlik has faced.

A safety first, stick and move approach to AA may be Pavlik's best plan. I just don't think he has that in his DNA! It's like when Pavlik fought Miranda; I think most people would have thought that Pav's best chance would be to just out-box Miranda, but instead, he announced to the world that he would stay flat footed and use his strength and power to mow Edison down. Funny thing is, it worked.

You may add Demers to that list (undefeated at the time). He's not a puncher but a decent boxer, would defeat the McKart and maybe the Zertuche that Pavlik fought. Zuniga is a big Q because he's not at all that skilled, but he's THAT tough... Gevor would beat Zuniga though... Ikeke at the time was considered as one of the top 3 MW contenders and was never stopped before, it's really an overlooked victory for Abraham (since Arthur destroyed Ikeke who was never the same again). Velazco was a tough dude as well, Zuniga's level at the time. Of course Taylor is much better than anyone Abraham has ever KOd. And Abraham failed to finish off Eastman, S. Taylor and Jantuah (who took a sick amout of power punches).

Your list indicates one thing very clearly: Pavlik is great in breaking down even the toughest opponents with a crazy amount of big power shots. Abraham is a one-punch KO artist who can't dominate like Kelly.

Putting GIFs would be really nice! These two are the deadliest punchers out there and boy, a fight between them promises a KO war!

Pavlik has become quite dept at understanding distance - this distance will keep Abraham just far enough away that the looping hooks will be blocked or avoided, leaving AA open for counter right hands. Barring sticking his chin out for Taylor, I don't see Kelly Pavlik touching canvas anytime soon - even against a hard puncher like Abraham.

That is just not a very good comparison at all. :good

So basically what you are saying here is you think because as you put it he beat Miranda by playing into his strengths he would do Abraham the same?

Just basically because he is Kelly Pavlik? As you have previously said Miranda is a limited fighter. Abraham is a very very good fighter, who matches up against Pavlik very well. But for example Hopkins would destroy.

Good post. The most intriguing aspects of Pavlik/Abraham come from the fact that they are so different. Both KO artists, but it's the stalker vs the counter puncher. Long and lean vs Short and Compact. Insane work rate vs very conservative. The list goes on. If this thing goes down in Vegas, I'm THERE!!!!

You seem to be utterly incapable of engaging in a conversation. Everything is argumentative and insutling. Were you born an *******, or did you have to work your way up to it.

Pavlik didn't show any understanding of distance against Lockett. He's been dropped before as you say by Zuniga and Taylor so it's not inconceivable that AA knocks him out.

Do not get so worked up, it is just the internet.

Answer the points in my posts with facts and logic and you will get nothing but in reply. You i am afraid to say come across as very much a nuthugger.

Also I do not see how I was insulting in the slightest? It was a bad comparison....

I never resorted to name calling either.
