I like Pavlik, well at least liked.. and I am going go him him a chance to say he was quoted out of context before I decide.

I agree with everything you said! :good

Pavlik should say "Damn! - why am I not in the Tourney? If I get the chance, I will be ready and I will come to fight!" That is what any ambitious fighter with self-confidence would say. This, "I am happy, I am not in the tourney because that would have completely ruined my carreer" is just not a clever thing to say.... nor think.

Rumours have it that Kessler and Abraham are paid $3 mill per fight in the first round. Taylor and Froch are paid $2 mill per fight. Direll and Ward are paid $750.000 per fight in the fight. The four semi-finalists are paid $3 mill per fight and the runner-up in the final is paid $5 mill while the winner gets $7 mill.

I have done some calculations on that and it adds up to about US$58 mill or about E48 mill. I believe they said that they needed E52 mill which is $73 mill, so who get the remaining $15 mill?

Well, Pav lost to B-Hop in an embarrassing way. It's all about money, I don't blame him for aiming at easier paydays, but he should step it up soon. Boxing is a profession, and it can be a very short one. He's gotta make the most of it.

    Very nice.

Bernard plucked his feathers, Kelly does not speak like a fighter anymore, but moreso a business man. He's content fighting the likes of John Duddy and making money doing it.

What he fails to realize is that the winner of this tournament will excell to become one of the very greatest fighters of this decade. (Most certainly top15):deal

Looks like he still hasn't gotten over the schooling administered by Hopkins.

No. People weren't on Pavlik before his stupid fans started the crap with (Mafia underboss voice from Max Payne) "I knew it! I knew! Abraham is running scared ! He is running ! Running to fight Pavlik victims ! He was never that good anyways, he would lose to each and every Pavlik victim ! Just like Calzaghe who was running scared with his tail between the legs when he saw what Pavlik did to the mighty Lockett!".

THEN, we good a blood rush, but that was more addressed to beating guys like Boo and you out of town with a pink pillow.

Maybe a loss reveald more of the real character of a fighter than the great streak of success Pavlik was enjoying before Hopkins? And maybe the likeable blue collar humble guy was a great story for a TV broadcast?

If Pavlik did indeed beat up a police officer some years back, that alone shows serious dark sides in his character. The broken window incident, the rumors about beating his girlfriend and drinking problems, the complete lack of humility after losing to Hopkins (even claiming Hopkins wasn't crafty) seems to indicate a troubeled man who perhaps was riding on a wave of euphoria when everything went his way for a while.

I have a lot of respect for the guys in this tournament, i cant see at all anything negative about it. Thinking about it it seems like it would be a good way to get rid of the alphabets and decide one champion (ah one can dream)

But i really see no reasons why Pavlik would **** on it, he has easily got the frame for SMW and disrespectingo other fighters who are putting their balls on the line isnt going to win any fans....after these comments if i won the tournement i wouldnt fight pavlik if he begged

First, Pavlik should stop fighting bums like Rubio, Lockett and eventually Mora before pointing finger. Secondly, he should prove himself at SMW before saying anything about kicking butt...
