Pavlik cherry picked fight Saturday

The champ needs a tune-up. How anybody cannot like Kelly Pavlik is beyond my comprehension. I've been a fight fan a long time and I have never bought in to the behind the scenes bs. I judge fighters for what they do in the ring.

Espino is effectively a mandatory. Pavlik has to fight someone with 5 weeks' notice and a one-handed training camp or lose his titles.

Not to be rude, but you expected him to fight a good fighter coming back from a long layoff?

 

He had EVERY intention of fighting Williams coming back. OH... I guess you're right... Seriously, the plan was/is to fight only good fighters because the prep is the hard part and it is the same regardless. Just circumstance derailed him and this fight was pretty much forced on him to keep his belts.
