I think Pipe just had an awful day, and being a bit more sensitive that usual. Hopefully a good day follows a bad day.
That's very cool of Team Pavlik. The folks from Youngstown are great people. When I went to see Pavlik face off against Taylor (in Vegas) Boom Boom was at the weigh-in and the last to leave. He didn't take off until absolutely everyone had a signed glove or picture that wanted one. Treating the fans with respect goes a really long way to building a base. The day of the fight Pavlik ate the at MGM buffet for breakfast. He walked right by us and I thought it was great that he hadn't let the fame get to him - he was eating with the rest of us poor schmoes.
I watched Boom-Boom at a local live radio broadcast at a local hotel. I think he really enjoys being a celebrity. Same deal with the autographs though. Very patient and appreciative of the fans. Even after the fight he stayed at ringside and signed away.
Thanks for understanding my friend...:good. Awful does not come close to how bad yesterday was. As was evidenced by the fact I over reacted to one of the kindest people I've ever met.
I didn't get to see Boom-Boom, but I will say again just how impressed I was with the way RJJ treated fans. I swear if that guy didn't pose for 1,000 pictures that night, he didn't pose for one. And the guy surely STILL has writers cramp from all the autographs he signed. Two thumbs up all day to "The Man".:good:good
