I've also heard that Zuniga was bitten by a zombie hired by the Bute camp a day before the fight. He was in stage 2 of the transformation when the fight took place. Bute already put the fatigue in the works.
Zuniga was so completely out classed and over matched in that fight it was ridiculous. I expected and predicted a Bute win, but I thought we'd see a decent scrap, and so did most other people. I don't think anyone predited a complete blow out.
As did I...I thought a cautious and somewhat effected from the 'Brado fight would take his time, get his feet wet and then come on later in the fight. Instead he got in, out and on with life. Scary good performance.
us pavlik fans need this were tired of arum bull shotting us selling us false hope that pav is gonna fight some one worth watching then end up fighting rubio, wich iknow he was a mandatory but then selling us on mora. im starting to wonder if pav should have looked else were when it came time to sign the new contract w top rank
aa called out O ****ING DLH as well!!! aa saying he wants to fight someone means **** all if his handlers have no intention of it in the first place. arum makes me scratch my head a lot and many things he says make me sick and the idea of a mora fight makes me even sicker...but that doesnt take away from the fact that team aa was never that serious about a pav fight...and... not to mention the clear road aa had to pav if he REALLY wanted him (becoming his mandatory which I know you now know b/c I and many others have posted it so i won't go into that again)
i agree aa would have made more $$ fighting miranda again in germany. i like aa (posted right under you in the other thread about him)...and this isnt about who would win (i know you know i think pav would but thats beside the point). both arum AND sauerland **** the bed on this one. i just don't want the blame being laid at one person's feet for this. we all wanted to see this fight and i'm sure we will at some point, albiet under very different circumstances since aa is moving up. i just think there is blame here to go around... i am in no way taking up for arum b/c he frustrates the **** out of me sometimes but there is blame to go around here...the loudest isnt always in the right
That's right, I think Froch is better off staying at 168lb.... with the tournament coming up he'll be better off staying at his best weight and getting fights with just as much money (roughly) like against Kessler and Abraham.... speaking of Abraham, if Pavlik still plans on staying at middleweight the only thing he should focus on is a fight with King Arthur! He needs to sort out who is the best at his own weight before this catchweight crap!
Maybe it's time for those fighters to understand that the big money in middleweight is GONE. They are no Klitschkos, they are not Tyson, Holyfield, or Lennox Lewis. They are not De La Hoya, or Mayweather. There is a financial crisis going on, and the money evaporated. ZDF is dumping Kohl's Universum, Pro7 dumped Kohl's Spotlight. He runs out of TV money quickly. Bottom line, they may WANT to get that "shitty" million dollar in a year when they possibly have to fight for low six figures on ESPN Classic or Eurosport. Sturm for sure never again gets some 1,5 million dollars for fighting some random japanese sandbag with arms. Although, he could be glad if he still has a title in two days. The 3,5 million that were in the Abraham fight would at least have been a nice farewell purse. BTW, that catchweight crap has one big advantage - win or lose, your next fight still is a "title defense for the world middleweight championship, unbeaten at middleweight, here comes THE middleweight ... champion of the world ... the Steelhammer ... pardon ...".
