I highly doubt he said that. And if he did.... his drinking problem is more serious then anyone thought.
Now, this is a very general statement. These things need context. For instance, you can make a specific observation of a type of skill: Is Pavlik more skilled at controlling distance with a jab than Mayweather? Yes. Is Pavlik more skilled at punching off a pivot than Mayweather? No. Just asking if he's "more skilled" all-around can only lead to ambiguity when you're talking about two world-class fighters with different styles in different divisions, where no head-to-head comparison or analysis of common opposition is available.
Pavlik would destroy Mayweather and Pac, one after the other in a 24-rounder... but it'd only go 5 total.
That's not a nice thing to say. I just really think that Mayweather has handpicked all his opponents whilst Palik has fought the great Bernard Hopkins who was at a matured (and therefore peaked) stage of his career. He lost but he showed grit and determination in the process. The Martinez loss was to a top quality fighter, and it was just a blip. Pavlik is a great ring general whereas Mayweather is just a safety first runner.
Why stop at Pryor? Why not a match-up with prime DLH? Or Sugar Shane Mosley? Or how about Alexis Arguello?
Wait? He actually said that? The rumors about him are true. He musta been ****in WASTED to believe something so ******ed.
Nah, the original poster even says a couple posts later he was intentionally misquoting and making **** up.
