Oh man I apologize for not coating Pavlik in oil and massaging his ballbag in a sensual enough manner.

    Don't become a pavlicker. :nono

Ah, yes we are. OK, then maybe not "disagree". "Misunderstand" is probably a better one.

You are implying that it's just a matter of time before Pavlik gets KTFO. Get the **** outta here, you fake *******. I don't have a picture of Pavlik in my avatar.

I don't take kindly to disrespectful fools. Just be real, either give credit where credit is due or don't say nothing at all.

kelly is slower than taylor but remember why they call him the Ghost.

he is hard to hit. yes that sounds insane to say that, but really think about it for a second. in the post fight taylor was wearing glasses, always a sign of getting swollen and battered during the fight. kelly even with that super pale skin, only had 1 bruise above his left eyebrow... the other bruise beneath his right eye was already there from sparring and you can see it during the weighin. taylor might have inflammed it a bit but it was already there! so pavlik has 1 bruise from the fight, while "seeminly" taking a lot of big powerful shots.

but as pavlik told the journo in a video interview. taylor was giving him "angles and inches" and as the fight wore on pavlik adapted and also gave taylor angles and inches.

basically to make up for the lack of natural speed, pavlik being so damn calm and aware of his surroundings in any given fight, is able to do a similar thing to toney for example. he moves his gloves and head slightly, or leans away just enough in anticipation of punches. and that in turn takes off 90% of their power, and effectiveness.

pavlik also can throw creative shots at times, though prefers the basic fundamentals if it's chipping his opponent down, or in taylors case he is simply moving too much and fast with head movement. remember in the first round pavlik missed with a big right hand and overextended (most likely on purpose) so his head was almost at taylor's waist, then he ripped a left hand hook/uppercut into taylor's midsection?

also at times, especially when he has opponents on the ropes he does the mayweather thing of hitting their solar plexus, and ribcage with straight punches and nasty hooks.

it's his plodding feet, and lack of taylor-like speed that makes him look a little sloppy at times. but reality he is a transformer in disguise. :thumbsup

Okay -- Now I gotta brag about my boxing wisdom and insight:yep I jumped on the Pavlik band wagon after the McKart fight! Going into that fight I was rooting for McKart! I thought Bronco could win the NABF title at 160, and use it as a spring board to a couple sweet pay days and then retire. Six rounds later I was a Pavlik fan. Soon after that I predicted Pavlik KO8 Taylor, and he got him in 7 the first fight. In the rematch he definitely proved he can box, and is not the crude slugger many accused him of being.

The kid reminds me of a giant Danny Lopez. Insane work-rate, double tough, gets knocked down only to come roaring back and win by brutal ko, not much to look at, fearsome puncher with both hands, confident, humble, a genuinely nice guy, et. However, I have a feeling Pavlik will ultmately accomplish much more than Danny Lopez did.

    Boo
