I still laugh at the time you said in the build up, not to get too excited..etc.. Cause now you figure, no matter what conventional wisdom says, if there's a chance JT can **** it up, bet on the other dude. Was worded differently, but as painful as it was true, funny as ****.
You mean the JT that some would say lost twice to B-Hop, B-hop almost knocked him out in the first one. Lost to Winky and Spinks. That JT???
Same one...:deal (and this one, would have boxed the ears off AA, better axe somebody!) Who then went on to get BRUTALLY KTFO in 3 of his 4 losing efforts in the last 5 fights. Congrats to AA.
umm, you may be right about the devils advocate thing. I do like to look at the other side of the coin. but to me it just enhances my boxing outlook. Not trying to be a dick. But there is a lane of thinking, with logic behind it that tells me AA would have always beaten JT. JT had nothing for him, and AA looked stronger at 168 and 166(2nd Miranda fight) then he has recently at 160. Question for anyone... When was the last time JT had a great showing where you say this was his prime???
I said it before, and I'll say it again. For AA to fight Pavlik's left overs is a big step up from fighting Joval, Ouma, and McKart's left overs!
He never went around the shell to touch the body Pipe. He was scared of getting hit with the heavy counter.
I dunno know man, but a fact for the books is Pavlik is the only fighter to hold a UD 12 over the man.
Pooo... He got warned for anything below the nipples, and deducted eventually. (and yes I seen the one photo of JT actually bein' low.)
Checkmate my friend. his prime was a very questionable decsion over a B-hop at his last days at 160. In which B-hop had him flopping around the ring like a fish out of water. His stamina problems were evident then. He got out boxed by Spinks, JT is not a master boxer. and I love JT. AA would have beaten the JT that fought Winky imo. Remember Taylor's eye after the Winky fight? damn, that's another thing AA has the better jab then JT.
The Hopkins Master Piece and the time off has apparantly caused folks to forget how good Pavlik actually is.:deal They will remember soon enough.
I thought Abraham looked a bit better than he has on some other recent fights. However, I'm not looking at how AA looked. I'm looking at all the opportunities Jermain failed to capitalize on, and the fact that at the time he didn't even seem to see the opportunities. Did you guys read what Kessler said?
