Taylor was doing great against Pavlik, it's not like Pavlik outsmarted Taylor, it was a case of stamina in the first fight and Pavlik was far superior. The rematch Taylor played safe, tried to save energy and still Pavlik's activity was too much for him, Pavlik also nearly stopped him late after landing a body shot but was tired his self.

Abraham has a very good chance here, he has the stamina/power/chin to give Pavlik a very difficult fight. I really don't see Pavlik knocking out Abraham early, maybe hurting him or even dropping him but Abraham also has a chance to do the same. Let's face it, Pavlik can be hurt and was many times before, some of the counters Abraham will land are going to trouble Pavlik as much as Pavlik's punches could trouble Abraham. Also Abraham's defense is far better than Pavlik's, so there's a huge advantage for Abraham right there. You make it sound like this fight is pointless and Pavlik won it already, I'm not the one drunk here. This is a competitive fight and when it's on with both in the ring you'll see for yourself.

    cmonnn

abraham sat in the pocket and waited until miranda's wild ass left himself open, which is exactly what happened.

abraham retaliated with the same bull**** miranda threw at him.

the only difference is that AA's haymakers landed where they were supposed to.

now im not taking anything away from him. I was impressed but Kelly is a mechanical animal.

wherever you block or go, he's there punching you from head to beltline.

this fight should happen but I just dont see Arthur coming out of it a champ.

Abraham's professional record doesn't consist of one fight with Miranda, there are more fights that you ought to check out.

Just don't see it that way. you're not making much sense here. you have Pavlik beating Calzaghe on some other threads, but then you say some one as far down the food chain as Abraham can beat Pav???? not much sense to be made out of that. AA is being vastly over rated based on taking out Miranda. I've even seen discussions on AA as a rated p4p fighter. Based on beating Miranda???? Who had Miranda in the top 50 p4p??? It's ridiculous.

Nope -- there is also the great Elvin Ayala, and 200 year old Howard Eastman who made the full 12 rounds!

    no **** man??

arthur is great fighter with great will but so was taylor at one point.

should be a great fight regardless but a late TKO or a UD could go either way.

Excuse me?!?!?!?!, Pavlik beating Calzaghe?, WTF. I never said Pavlik would beat Calzaghe, I've said it in MANY threads that Calzaghe DESTROYS Pavlik but only claimed that Calzaghe's decision to fight Jones instead is pathetic, that's all, you should read properly man. First you say I compare Pavlik to Miranda now I said Pavlik beats Calzaghe?, please read better man.

Abraham is NOT far down the food chain, you probably think he is because you haven't seen enough of his. There are many fights out there, please try to get ahold of them and then you'll understand why I'm picking Abraham to win, Miranda is not his only opponent, many people seem to base Abraham's fighting style as a whole from that one fight only and clearly.

Abraham is not a P4P fighter yet, he will be soon though. The skills and tools are there for those bothered enough to check and I have checked all the way to his amateur days till this very day, been a fan for a very long time and mentioned him here on ESB MANY times even before he met Eastman. There's no need for help from the US media to advertise a fighter they think is good for me to check out, the sources are available to search and check on your own.

    Eastman, Jentuah, Miranda x2, Ikeke.

Those are all good fighters right there. It's not like Pavlik has a group of fighters on his record either man, Jermain x2 and Miranda. Of course Pavlik accomplished far more in those 2 fights against Jermain but that doesn't mean his record makes Abraham look like he did nothing, unless you're being totally biased. Abraham is seeking a fight with Pavlik next so there's no need to worry about "records" till that fight is over with and I'm confident enough with my pick, as you are with yours. :good

Abraham has a style suited to beat Pavlik just like JT has a style to beat Abraham and Pavlik has the style to beat JT. Not taking anything away from Pavlik, really good fighter, excellent workrate, good power, varied punches.
Abraham is a type of fighter that hates running after his opponents. He prefers to take some punishment and take some rounds to find out his opponent. Since Pavlik will be in his face all evening, Abraham will be fighting as usual, patient and looking for his chance. Important to remember: As far as I remember, Abraham never let a fish of the hook once he got them hurt/down.
Easy win for Abraham?? Not by any chance. Getting the shot in isnt always easy. Might get frustrated later and throw caution in the wind
Easy win for Pavlik?? As long as he can stay away from Abraham's sleepingpills he will outpoint him or even outlast him. Imho, If he gets hurt, he is in all kinds of trouble.

Pavlik was very correct in his assesment...truth is there ISNT much more to Abraham..........

and Tommy its a well known fact that Kelly CAN tuck and roll when he has to(see Zertuche fight) and is actually quicker on his feet than Abraham who appears to plod around with his guard up

Interesting....you don't know much about Kelly Pavlik to say he has to show some adaptability when its been on display for some time now

The only hope Abraham has of winning is landing a prayer....and in my opinion Kelly would have to drop his hands and say "gimmie your best shot" for that to happen. Pavlik puts Abraham to sleep in the mid to late rounds with surprising ease

    Pavlik KO8

Pavlik KO by the 8th Rd....

Pavlik's going to pick him apart. Abraham throws looping shots that Pavlik will pick off all night (well at least until he KO's his ass):yep
