Well, HBO says it can happen the earliest in early 2009 - sadly. But that´s nearly my oppinion you wrote there.
Wow . . . base on this poll Pavlik is an underdog. I pray and hope he comes in as the underdog . . . when the real fight pushes through. :yep :happy :happy :happy :happy :happy :happy :happy :happy :happy
This is an exceptional matchup. Both undefeated, both hard hitters(Though Arbramah hits harder), both tough guys overall. Pavlik can be hit, Abraham's defense is slightly better. Abraham has one punch KO power, though... Tough call, I'd say it's a draw.
This forum doesn't necessarily represent what the majority say, in general Abraham's power IS underrated despite being too good to be underrated and his decision to fight Pavlik after his next fight should prove it to you if the fight is made as it should be. Miranda doesn't represent Abraham's power man, I already said it before, Miranda is a horrible fighter whos is good for nothing but talking smack. When a serious opponent is there against him he fades and quicker than expected, as long as you punch back and punch hard enough he gets discouraged and that's what both Abraham and Pavlik did, both deserve credit for it as well. So what?, this doesn't prove anything. Pavlik can have a more impressive record and wins, that doesn't mean that Abraham isn't worth the shot nor does it prove he will lose till they both step in the ring and prove it. Abraham's style is not easy to handle, if anything it's Abraham who has some defense to block those punches from Pavlik, does Pavlik have any defense worth mentioning?, it's Pavlik's ability to take a punch and his stamina is what wins him fights, has absolutely nothing and not even close to do with skill. Pretty much like Margarito but in his own way/style. I believe that Abraham has what it takes to take advantage of Pavlik's obvious flaws and Pavlik already proved that he can be dropped and hurt and I'm sure both of us agree that Abraham punches hard enough to test him there.
Fair post. There's no doubt in my mind that Kelly gets his chin checked once or twice against AA, but we're not talking about Gevvor, Ayala, or Miranda here! This fight won't go the distance, and fans will see that AA is a full class below Pavlik. He's probably 2nd best at 160 right now since Taylor is at 168, and Winky is MIA. But it's a distant 2nd, trust me.
Looks like Cotto-Margarito except Abraham will not box and get off the ropes. I like Pavlik because he will force the issue. Pavlik may not have the one punch KO power, but he will get an accumulation of punches that will be Abraham's undoing.
The thing with Pavlik is he doesn't outpunch himself because he's got incredible stamina and it has everything to do with his tough training based on endurance and raw power !
