umm the reason sturm lost cuz he got stupid and tried to please the fans who were booing him. so he decided to stand and trade with the guy (not sturms style) and he got caught. the rematch sturm completely and utterly dominated the guy. sturm IMO learned from his mistake and hasnt looked back. sturm has a very good chance to outbox and win a decision vs. pavlik.

btw. i hope kelly goes to germany for this one, otherwise sturm shouldnt even consider this fight an option

I don't think Kelly goes to Germany. He has said it several times. Especially in relation to AA. Besides, in spite of what people think, the money for this fight would not be there in Germany. The reason Sturm and AA want Kelly is the purse size.

He didn't dominate the second one. Clear decision but not domination. Your excuses mean nothing however inre: the fact that Sturm was nearly out in the second round of the first fight anyways and mental mistake or not, he lost by KO or TKO.

And why the hell should Pavlik travel for this fight? He is the champion, not Sturm.

Wow I'm pleasently surprised. I thought Sturm was content with fighting bums in Germany for the remainder of his career.

Would be a good fight for the middleweight division if it happened - but I don't see it making it past the negotiating table. Sturm and his people seem content to keep him as the middleweight champion of Germany rather than risk him against a fighter of Pavlik's caliber.

Anywaaaaays this is good news IMO. I'd love to see Sturm against Pavlik in a fight of this magnitude. Sturm is a good fighter (underrated in some circles, overrated in others) who is a rough night for anybody in the division. Combine that with the hard hitting Pavlik and how could you not want to see this fight? I think this is great news if it comes to pass.

Then if Pavlik wins you can get Pavlik vs Gevor? Sign me up.

A prime DLH eh? An in shape prime of his life Oscar DLH.

Sturm won that fight but that wasn't an "In his prime" Oscar DLH. Specifically when you consider he had some 12 years worth of wear and tear on his career.

Kelly Pavlik vs a Grizzy Bear would be a much better fight than Mora

Wonder if this would be on HBO or perhaps it would get the Top Rank PPV treatment?
