    Come on brother.

    He should be praised if he does indeed retire, for knowing when to call it a day.
    Most people in his position would want to cash out.

    I think he's shown signs over the last few years of not being that into it anymore. So I think it was a very smart move to call it a day.

    I remember when the Americans on here were building him u and saying he would smash Calzaghe.


    Anyway best of luck to him, he seems a good guy.

    Such a shame but I'm glad that, in spite of his other personal issues, that he's able to make such a decision.

    there's really no such thing as "retirement" in boxing. i'd bet the house that pavlik will fight again

    Much better to carry on and end up like Ali, right? Or maybe to keep fighting until he's an embarrassment to the sport, like Roy Jones, Mosley, Holyfield?

    He's made his money, picked his moment, and seems assured in his decision. Best of luck to him.
