On the basis of their last couple of performances, both Pavlik and Taylor, especially the latter, are favourites against Abraham at this stage.

Pavlik might even stop Abraham in the late rounds.

Taylor would win a wider UD than Pavlik.

Abraham's tight guard crumbles in the late rounds and Pavlik's jab will find it's mark, not just keep his respect.

Abraham has a better chance of KOing Pavlik than Taylor, though.

Problem herein between you guys is that about 49.5% overrate Pavlik and 49.5% overrate Abraham, with 1% can really make a fair prognostication on this fight.

As I said for months, I can see Pavlik outworking AA, due to AA's inactivity but there's still a good chance for AA to KO Pavlik.

IMO 2/3 in favor of Kelly Pavlik....

I think Abraham has some good qualities that will allow him to make this a tough and compettive fight, both men can punch and have skills and weaknesses to make this a exciting fight but I think Pavlik will win by a late tko or UD

Oh, yeah...it's rather silly to overrate Abraham just to have a go at those who overrate Pavlik.

Pavlik should not be overrated, but neither should Abraham be overrated.

And, finally, neither should Taylor be underrated just to have a go at those who overrate Pavlik.

It's not a great division, but both Pavlik and Taylor are B+ on their best day, with Abraham having yet to prove that he is or could ever be more than a B level fighter...would help if the latter fought more proven world class fighters and if he could clearly beat contenders like Miranda.

It looks like he'll have a chance to do just that soon. Fingers crossed.

Abraham has to increase the level of his perfomance a lot to be taken seriously as a real force even in that rather weak division.

So...come on, AA, no more excuses, no more weak defences, time to step up and make a statement. Puting Miranda away or at least getting a clear (wide) decision over him would be a good start!:good

I got some new info from the German press and now it says that AA will either fight Miranda (ok, that is the original news earlier made public) or - and now hold on - !Jermain Taylor! on June 27.

IMO Taylor is an even harder fight for AA to win as one vs either Miranda or Pavlik.

Taylor? Wow, that's a biggie... I think for a 'tune-up' for the Pavlik fight he should fight Miranda instead of Taylor... both men are strong at 168 but Taylor is waaaay better than Miranda...

Of course if AA wants to campaign in SMW, Taylor is an excellent fight... But he's got unfinished business in MW!

Miranda is a fight that has to happen, to put all doubts to rest over their first encounter. I am confident that AA can win this fight fairly easily if he is careful and if his stamina and workrate is better. I doubt Taylor will fight AA before he proves conclusively he is better than Miranda. After AA v. Miranda, Taylor should fight the winner. Now that would be a great fight.:good

I picked Pavlik by TKO however, I am biased because I have never seen Abraham fight.

If Pavlik would box, he wins this fight with no problems by UD or TKO
However, he likes so slug it out way too much, and with a heavyhanded opponent like Abraham, he will get caught. Pavlik is tall, and on the inside he will eat a counter left hook and get knocked out.
