First, let me say that Pavlik and Abraham are definitely the best MWs right now and that this fight needs to happen. Much more important than Pavlik-Calzaghe or Pavlik-Kessler.

Abraham is a good fighter, but he has big flaws such as covering up too much and fighting in spurts, and even more blatant, he leaves himself terribly open after throwing punches. He's either fighting aggressive with no defense at all, throwing big punches and wild haymakers, or he's totally covering up by the ropes, letting his opponent unload on his (then tight) guard. I've seen many of his fights, it's always the same, and it was no different yesterday. Abraham has a very good coach, and I don't understand why they don't work on these flaws.

Pavlik would capitalize on these flaws and hit Abraham with big shots after Abraham leaves himself open. Another thing, Pavlik has a jab, while Abraham hasn't. Pavlik has also much better stamina than Abraham. And Pavlik is in a whole different league than Miranda.

Both are tough as nails SOBs and have a champion mentality, both are very confident and won't back down. They aren't afraid to trade and both have good punching power and good chins. This could well be a war, with Pavlik having the edge due to better overall skills and physical advantages. Abraham will come to win tho and have his moments, he will be game. Even tho both are big punchers, there's not going to be knockdowns, or at least no knockout, they are too tough.

In the end, imo Pavlik is the best MW while Abraham is the 2nd best, so I'll say Pavlik wins by UD in a war.

Ikeke is a poor fighter, If Pascal had more power he would had koed him in 1, Pascal who is not the more accursy guy, tag him and tag him all night long..Ikeke defence is really poor
but make no mistake, I give al lcredit to Abraham
How can you not like the guy!
Same class as pavlik, they are the fighters who can make up a better image for Boxing!

AA will fight Marquez next. Should be an extremely easy fight for him. Kelly will end up fighting Rubio in Cleveland setting up a matchup between him and AA next year. It would be great to have AA v Marquez on the undercard. AA looked strong at 166, let us see how he does when he goes back down to 160? I think Kelly's workrate will be way too much for AA. He fights in spurts, and Kelly will exploit that.

Abraham is a good counter puncher with very good power in his punches but I'm still not convinced yet about him when facing the best out there !

AA 's workrate is way too limited, although he does have good movement..

Miranda has lots of power but objective boxing fans always knew he was very limited skillwise and was going to get exposed over and over again against fighters above the journeyman category !

What I like about Pavlik is not only his workrate but the fact that he is quite precise with his punches..even against a guy like Abraham which covers up a lot. Pavlik goes to the body as much as the head and every punches he throws put on some hurt...

I see Abraham just getting overwhelmed in there although he may give a good scare to Pavlik fans with a few good counterpunches !

Abraham looked great in his win, I just watched the video of the fight on YouTube. Not only did he come to America, and beat Miranda at a catch weight, he did it and he KO'd Miranda within 4. As for he and Kelly, I don't believe you can ignore the work rate issues , as well as the fact that Pav utilizes his range very well. I think Pavlik by decision would be the most likely outcome but there is definitely a possibility for a AA KO.

    Pavlik by UD

    -Pavlik's chin should hold-up for 12 rounds

-Abraham spends too much time covered-up

-Pavlik throws lots of punches and wins by outworking him

I doubt I'll find that anywhere, but how would you compare Ikeke to Pavlik other than size? That was 3 years ago and Ikeke was 33 at the time?

His style has worked for him up till now? He may not take the same chances, leave the same openings against Pavlik as he did against Miranda. Once he hurt Miranda he opened up more. Still, bad discipline.

Yeah dont even bother Ikeke doesnt utilize his range the way Kelly can, and doesnt posess a formitable workrate either. This will be a tough fight for Kelly but he can pull it off he is the best middleweight in the world

Well, we know AA will fight Marquez. How close to 'stone' is the rest of it?

It's Pavlik by decision or AA by stoppage, logically

I lean towards Abraham, but I can definitely see the case for Pavlik outworking him in that defensive shell.

Well, if Toms says to watch it, I would like too. It would still be an indication of what Abraham would have to / try to do against Pavlik.

Yep thats pretty much it, this is a dangerous fight for Kelly but if it goes 12 I would say it favors him. I just watched the YouTube of last nights fight and I can't help but notice AA's punches are simply dangerous, they go from A to B very quickly. I could definitely see Kelly getting caught with one of those so it would make for an interesting fight. Either way I am giddy that we have an excellent middleweight showdown.
