Bad fight for Pavlik. He should've gone for a different titleholder or an eliminator. Froch is a much better fight for him.

You saying Sillyman miscalculated? He's gonna have his boy Nips own the WBC belt even if he has to put a hit out on Vitaly.

Looks like it is signed now. Friday Arum said, "We told them what we need. Now we're just waiting for Goosen." This morning B. S. reported it as Scheduled for Jan. 26th on WCB.

I'm glad Pavlik is doing this. When he came up through the ranks at 160, he went after Taylor, the real champ, not AA or Sturm, mere beltholders. Now, at 168 he managed to do the same thing. That's good, cuz it's time for KP to go big, or go home.

    Got damn right.

He took his "medicine" and fought off TV, then Friday Night Fights, back on HBO all against "step up" type dudes..... Now it's time once again for the Ghost to go big :guitar

Kelly has always done his very best when counted out/viewed as an under dog going into big fights.

At the very least Ward is fittin' to have his hands full :deal

Now we just need Froch to show up at the presser and have him and Ward get into while Kelly is just sitting there.

Easy win for Ward, the SMW division is so weak that Pavlik who hasnt done anything at SMW is one of the best on offer?

Pavlik won't hit it even semi-clean once. So what's the point of this fight?

Ward should move up. There's no one left, except maybe Dirrell at 168.

When you've already beaten everyone else...?

Not really much to criticize about this fight. Pavlik's only losses were to 2 atg's. After all, he was up to fight Bute and hasn't really done anything to lose that standing(except the fact of declining the fight).

But yeah, clinical win for SOG.

I thought he would have been more active since he "came back". I really only listed him based on potential. If he's inactive, he won't have a shot against anyone. Hopefully he gets it together & gets back in the ring. He hasn't fought in almost a year!
