If Pavlik died I think I'd still make him the slight favorite over Espino.

 

I was a huge KP fan by the way he crushed Miranda, a guy at the time no one wanted to fight, broke abrahams jaw and gave him hell, crushed taylor in the title fight and getting up off the deck. rematching with him immediately. then i was ok with his first **** defense to a guy who had no biz in the ring with him. In the loss to Hopkins I gave him props just for fighting him. no one looks good in their with BHop, even if you beat him. Id rather him lose to a guy like that than KO a rubio or jennings. He was hot for so long, inactivity and choice of opponents and now postponements of multiple fights . hard to get excited or talk him up these days......Healthy or not...he aint beating Paul Williams.....Paul Williams is peaking and KP is sliding....it wont be pretty when they do fight

 

He's starting to look like one of those typical mid-western, great white hype-jobs from days gone by... who can knock guys out, but hasn't really got the stuff to hang with the big boys...

So he either avoids them (Abraham) ... or get his clumsy ass kicked (Hopkins)

The kind that realises that its safer just to fight around home vs soft competition.

Bring in some C level chumps, (preferably black or latino) And the red-necks will pay good money to see their all American boy kick some ass. Yee Haw!

All i have to say is that to suggest any fighter who has fought for the middle weight title is actually "scared" of another fighter makes you a complete halfwit.

DUCKING in boxing happens all the time. Being scared to fight someone is not the same thing.

Ducking might be a stylistic issue - it might also be that he is not ready to fight someone of that talent level.
