Pavlik will KO Calzaghe

This would be Calzaghe-Lacy all over again

imo while pavlik is a big puncher and IMO one of the best natural finishers in the game, calzaghe would take away pavliks jab, just as calzaghe did against kessler and hopkins , and box a similar fight that he did v kessler.

pavlik will have 2 options try to walk through calzaghe, ala miranda, or try to outbox calzaghe.

IMO he will not be able to do either, but calzaghe v pavlik is the fight i would like to see calzaghe take as his final fight , the styles will gell well and whatever the outcome the fight will be an entertaining one and pavlik brings well enough to the table to make him winning a real possiblilty.

 

Pavlik style suits Joe down to the ground, pretty straight foward win for Joe

 

I hope Kelly wins big in June and he's next for Joe since it will make the odds equal because of the SD on Saturday.

If that's the case, I'm ready to get rich or go bankrupt. I'm gonna put crazy money on Joe Calzaghe for his next stunning victory.

 

That's right. Lacy was going to knock him out. Kessler was going to knock him out. Hopkins was going to knock him out. I can see a pattern developing!!!

Sorry to break it to you but the fight isn't happening.

So basically one more fight against an opponent who isn't supposed to break the zero.

 

I think he will fight RJJ and then quit....it would be great for him to fight Pavlik as he is in his prime....I think Joe would win this by a few rounds.

I'm not saying Pavlik isn't capable of beating Calzaghe, but he certainly won't KO him.

 

He has a punchers chance. That's all.

 

If Pavlik tries to outbox Joe, he loses. Pavlik clearly puches harder than Joe, but you have to connect to make the damage. I see Joe being too quick for Kelly.

 

I would rather see Calzaghe fight Pavlik than RJJ.

Calzaghe is a way better boxer than Pavlik, but there is no doubt Pavlik hits harder.

I like both guys, but I will bet my money on Joe.

 

Anythings possible ... I think that Pavlik will win, but its too early to say how he would win.

Calzaghe is very fast and has a good chin ... Calzaghe can fight going backwards and has very good in and out movement.

I just think that Pavlik hasn't shown us all he could do ... he's very strong and would be stronger at LHW ...

Calzaghe would be the old man in this fight given that Pavlik is 25 ...

 

Some people don't seem to have much logic. You watch the Hopkins fight and say Calzaghe is overrated. No. It's Hopkins style which makes people look sloppy.

Now talking about Kelly Pavlik
Hopkins style would make Pavlik terrible, that's not taking anything away from him.
Pavlik - Calzaghe >> Calzaghe wins a wide UD.
