I happen to like Pav but he is made for Joe , Its no walkover but Joe takes Kelly.

 

I watched Pavlik/Taylor 2 back to back with Calzaghe/Kessler. Taylor is faster than all three, but Pavlik did OK against Taylor. Joe said he would come back to 168 for Pavlik. That was before Hopkins made him realize he really does belong on the senior tour.

 

Pavlik is the real deal ... there's no hype around him ... he knocked out some very credible fighters and hasn't even reached his peak as of yet.

We all know that Pavlik isn't going to stay at MW for too much longer ... we know that Pavlik hasn't filled out his frame ... and we all know that Pavlik has a ton of power in both hands.

He's always in good shape and has a rugged method of training ...

His chin is solid and he has more skill than he's shown against past opponents ... I think once he gets more rounds end and is forced to adjust in fights ... i'm pretty sure that there's not going to be too many fighters that could beat him.

And him pushing that damn tire is amazing ...

 

Lots of American's picked Cal over Bhop. It was a close fight. Pavlik>Talor>Bhop. Follow the line. I think Taylor beats Joe. I hope the Kessler/Taylor fight gets made. Lots of speculation ends, either way. :yep

 

show you have knowlede about boxing i if you knew anything about boxing you wouldn't post such a vague argument. Please state why you think calzaghe is on the way down and why you think boxing ability pavlik has shown more in his career

 

Selfkill thats preety much how i see it. To much people think pavlik being a puncher can just walk into the fight and get calzaghe out of there. i remember thats EXACTLY what others thought on here, running up to the lacy fight

You know I would have said before the Hopkins fight that I dont know who wins between Pavlik vs Joe. But with the way Joe went down with really an average punch from Bhop (whos not known to have heavy hands).. If Kelly can establish that long jab of his I see him Koing Joe. His output will match that of Joe as well. The only thing Joe has over Kelly is speed..his hands that is...besides that Kelly will gladly take punches smiling to get to Joe

 

Calzaghe would win by a clear UD but he would be knocked down once of twice in the process.

 

Love Pavlik, he's great for the sport, but his style isn't the one to beat Joe. You want to beat, you gotta be faster and ready to punch more than him. While Pavlik has the KO chance, and a pretty good work rate, its not the workrate of Joe. Joe might get knocked down, but not knocked out. Joe by UD, 116-112.

 

Getting knocked down by Pavlik once or twice is more serious than getting decked by Hopkins. If you plan on Joe going down, plan on him being hurt.

 

Calzaghe is a little annoying, I have lost some serious money, I lost serious cash on the fight with mitchell cus mitchell was a Huge i mean Huge middle weight, couldave easiliey made cruiser and he hit like a truck, and put Calzaghe on his arse then all of a sudden my man was on wobbly legs, calzaghe is one stubborn son of a ***** and refuses to lose, rember the Omar sheika fight Omar was throwing BOMBs!!!!!! BIka throwing SKUD missile, Kessler Going like a maniac in the last round to takes Joes head off, Eubanks was throwing the kitchen sink, Reid was throwing bricks, everyone that fought calzhage apart from david staire, Hated calzhage in that ring and wanted to destroy him, all FAILed DAMN!!!!! but the, But I noticed theres that Calm compusure, and that horrible COLD look his face has no expression at all under all situations, that gives me the chills, its like hes some one totally in a zone, i still hate him though, come on pavlik:happy

 

I agree, you would have to pay Calzaghe a ton of money to take that beating.
