Well, honestly 27" seems REALLY freaking long, but 23 1/2" seems to short for a guy 6' 1" who went jab for jab with Pavlik twice. Who knows where the truth lies:think

Paul Williams' arm length means ****. He doesn't even use his range, he's in and out, most of his punches if you watch don't even have full extension on them.

Pavlik on the other hand does like to use his complete arm span.

I just see an all-out war, thats how it's going to pan out. No tactical ****.

The video said Hopkins has a 23" arm length. So you telling me that JT's arm is 4" longer for each arm? That doesn't sound right.

And Roy Jones has a 24" arm length. Also, Hatton has a 20" arm length. You telling me that JT's arm is 7" longer on each side? I dunno.

Correct on PW. However, going to war with KP would be the worst possible strategy. Paul needs to stay on the move and pick his battles wisely; pot shot and run, blisster and move, and stay off the ropes even if he has to take a knee to break Pav's momentum. That's a sensible strategy. Going to war, in my opinion, would be a suicide mission. However, PW may not have much choice in the matter.

He doesn't have a lot of choice. Stand infront of his opponent and outgun them is what Williams does. A great mover he is not.

So tough to call, but on the basis of their last 2 fights you have to think Williams has a great chance of winning this one

I think that if we look at Taylor/Pavlik we can probably conclude that JT's arms are right there with Kelly's. Both guys wanted to fight from range, and both guys landed a lot while doing so. You got me thinking when you brought it up. 27" inches would give JT a 2 1/2"advantage over KP, and yet these guys stood mid-ring and went jab for jab with each other. I doubt if KP could do that with someone who had a 2 1/2 inch arm length, and a hand speed advantage.

I think the unknown factor is PW's power. What if PW's power affects Pavlik? PW's has been sitting down on a lot of his punches of late. It will be interesting to see.

Also, there is the clear difference in hand speed.

I noticed during the Wright fight he would lean in quite a bit from time to time. Can you say 'uppercut'?

Paul also lays over to his own right a lot. Left hook from hell!

After watching his last fight again, I don't think he is any faster than Taylor was. Some of his speed comes from his arm punches because they are traveling a shorter distance.

He's not any faster than Taylor, and if he tries to sit down on his punches more, he won't be as fast.
