If his grapple skills are any good w/the striking already down he might do good.
That said this transition usually ain't good. (success wise)

    He's a G

    I'm just shitting on UFC

It's clear now that he is reaching an age where he can no longer compete at the top level in the worlds premier combat sport, that he drops down a level or two

Sort of like David Beckham going to LA Galaxy.

Age has nothing to do with it as he is still young.I think he knows he reached his ceiling in Boxing and chose to preserve his health. He is/was a strong B level Boxer who made his victims and victors push very hard in every fight through pure heart and determination but no through skill.

You right. . . I remember hearing he wrestled in high school, and was pretty damn decent; not sure if he was a state champ, but he was a place-winner at states. . .

He started boxing in his early 20's, so yeah, he did pretty damn good all things considered.

This isn't just a one shot, I want a few paydays type deal, he's serious about competing, and he's already got the background to maybe find some success. . .

This guy has taken so much punishment during his time in boxing. Especially to his head. He took several lifetimes of head trauma just in his last 2 fights with Rodriguez.

I'm curious to see if he will have the reflexes to compete with the mma guys, anywhere near the top echelon. Don't expect so.

Agreed. In MMA his stand up and striking will be top notch, whereas in boxing he was considered a brawler. Plus he will take fewer blows to the head.

Tacitily he is admitting he does not have the skillset to compete in boxing. Speed, reflexes, and athleticism fly out the window once the guys hit the mat.

Well he's probably looking to fight in the in the Lightweight division. Unfortunately for him the UFC is stacked with quality wrestlers, BJJ and Muay Thai guys there, dont fancy his chances tbh

Obviously his hands will be a level or two above anyone in the UFC, but I doubt if he will get higher than a Pudzianoski undercard
