People always bring up JLC-PBF 1 when it's a well known fact that he was injured going into that fight. It has no bearing on this matchup.:deal
I pick Duran by UD but to say PBF would be stopped is foolish especially since he's never been hurt or down in a fight. Not to mention his defense is great and he has the style that would trouble Duran. PBF is to good of a fighter to blown out even by an ATG like Duran especially at 135. I think Duran wins but it wouldn't a blowout.

You're vastly underestimating a prime Duran and overrating Floyd Mayweather.

Seriously, I'd say Floyd is by far at his worst against pressure fighters.

Duran would win this I feel, but he would have to work for that win as it wouldn`t be a walk in the park. Duran could be troubled by someone with quick legs and a defensive mindset, Edwin Viruet showed this to be true in two fights and Viruet wasn`t half the fighter Mayweather was at this weight.

Floyd was very quick back then at moving his upper body out of the way of incoming punches while using his legs to get out of his opponents range and counter them on the way. If Floyd fights Duran the same way he did Castillo in their return bout I can see him going the distance and giving him a hard nights work, but I still think Duran would awalk away the winner.

The reason being that Duran would know he can`t just come in a straight line like Hatton did and get nailed coming in. Duran used a lot of upper body movement himself and was pretty hard to hit with a clean punch too... at first glance this may not be apparent but if one watches closely on film you can see how he rolls with punches so well and rarely gets hit flush.

Roberto would have known that the key to success would have been to get his feet into position to punch on the move and turn and punch all night long, not aiming for the head all night but anywhere and everywhere that was legal to wear down Floyd for the last third of the bout. Duran`s aggression and workrate will see him get a hard fought but deserved decision over Mayweather, who would have been too defensive minded and inactive to win the fight.

I favor Duran, but it would be a good interesting fight to see if or how well Mayweather could adapt to Duran's pressure throughout the fight. Duran 116-112 or 115-113.

Worst style matchup for Floyd, Duran got this. In boxing, styles make fights. There may be a guy that Floyd could beat that Duran could not or would struggle to beat and Floyd beats easily. People tend to forget about that styles make fights.

The only thing Duran did alot that I can see Floyd taking advantage of is he stuck his jab out there to line up his right hand and he did not pump it out with much speed and pop. Floyd could counter his jab. Other then that, on the inside he would just wear Floyd down.

Im going to just for insight look at the two fighters and there records at the weight and you decide.
Now i know records dont make for the style but it is a good way to tell what they were like at that weight.

    Floyd Mayweather
    Won UD JL Castillo 116-111,115-111,115-111
    Won UD JL Castillo 115-113,116-113,115-113
    Won UD V Sosa 118-110.119-109,118-110
    Won TKO 7 P NDou

    Roberto Duran
    Won KO 7 H Kobayashi
    Won TKO 13 K Buchanan
    Lost UD E De Jesus
    Won TKO 8 H Thompson
    Won TKO 10 G Ishimatsu
Won KO 11 E De Jesus
    Won KO 1 M Takayama
    Won KO 14 R Lampkin
    Won KO 15 L Ortiz
    Won KO 14 L Bizzarro
    Won KO 1 A Rojas
    Won KO 13 V Fernandez
    Won UD 15 E Viruet
Won TKO 12 E De Jesus
With Duran i only named the title fights at 135. PBF that is all his fights at 135.i will end with this in mind Duran was a monster at 135 probably the best we will see at the weight and yes Floyd is skilled but PBF didnt have to fight every 2 months like Duran and he never had to fight title fights there were 15 rounds.
