The only guys I would pick over Duran at lightweight are Pernell Whitaker and Benny Leonard, many Joe Gans. However I would not underestamte Mayweather.

When people are saying Duran 'struggled' against defensive, quick counter punchers - is the definition of 'struggled' taken to mean 'not winning as comprehensively against these fighters as he does against others'?

Seriously, I rate Floyd very highly. At welterweight the fight would be very close and I may even pick PBF in a split decision (possibly, still not sure) but at Lightweight he doesnt have a snowballs chance! I'm not going to comment anymore on the matter because I'm making myself angry just thinking about it!

I'm just going to leave you with a hospitilized Ray Lampkin...

Mate either English isnt your first language or you are idiot. So ill spell it out for you a little easier.

    I said:
Which implicitly implies that if Castillo, being the fighter that he is, pushed Mayweather that hard than Duran who fights similiarly but is of a higher calibre, would logically have a great chance of beating him.
What you have done is misinterupted my post to start off with, and then made a statement argueing with it:

So of course Im going to think you have a postion that is the opposite of mine and Im going to take this literally. I was argueing that because Duran is a fighter like Castillo but better than he should beat him. Which is the whole basis of the Fighter ABC arguement. Duran fights more like Castillo than Hatton, De Le Hoya or Gatti, and he IS better.

See because this is a mythical matchup all we have to go on is past fights and how said fighter handled different fighters & styles. This is a question of STYLES and if anything you back my statement up by saying:

This is exactly what I said in the part of the post you quoted. This is exactly what I was getting at but you laugh it off and then reiterate my arguement. Talk about a contradiction. :nut As Johnnie Cochran says "That does not make sense"".
These fights happened and might I add both examples have 3 different styles of fighters in them, which again proves my point if anything. Our arguement is purely hypothetical, so you have to base your arguement on the evidence that is at hand. There is no real right or wrong answer but clearly more people agree with me than you.

Clearly you're a Floyd nuthugger, your homoerotic avatar is proof of this. Which is cool I dont mind but what that does is messes with your head and when you see anything resembling negative comments about your boo, you get enraged. You emotional attatchment to him lets you see what you want to see instead of obvious. Thats not good for you.
