its just a tune up bout for christ sake, no one would bull**** about it. I won't for a fact, i know jmm had all the disadvantages here but that is just the point of a tune up. To fight a guy who has virtually no chance at all or even little chance, and floyd needs this to shake off the ring rust.
What's worse? Fighting a guy who is a dynamic fighter who is used to fighting at a smaller weight... or fighting a guy in your weight class who is a walking puncing bag who has absolutely no chance of giving you any type of trouble.. ala Jennings, Rubio, and Golden Johnson. This content is protected Floyd haters can make all the excuses they want but this is pure unadulterated hypocrisy. Period. If your favorite fighter can take a tune-up with Jennings, Rubio, Lockett, or Golden Johnson, then certainly Floyd (who is one of the smallest WW's can go under his weght class to take on a fighter like him who is actually a tough, skilled P4P fighter.

If he beat Mayweather, he would pull ahead of those 2 but not ahead of Chavez, we`ll have to see how Floyd looks in the ring because he hasnt fought since dec 07 & he`s not in his 20s, I`ll be suprised if he looks exactly the same as he did before he left. I still think he should beat JMM tho, better boxer.
Bottom line, I'm not even a Floyd fan. I would love to see him fight PW so I can see my boy get more recognition. But I can't criticize him for not fighting him on his first fight back in two ****in years!!!! Yet, everyone wants to see him take on an elite in his division his first fight back. None other than because they would give their left nut to see him lose a fight.
Lighter weight fighters move up all the time. Fighters in the past didn't win as many belts at multiple weights because 1) one title per division 2) fewer weight classes 3) needing 50-75 fights before getting a title shot. By the time many of them got a title match, they had already out-grown two or three weight classes. Marquez has won at feather and light. He could be thinking he's "Juan Manuel Armstrong"...
Best post on this thread but the haters will never admit it. They had no problems with PBF fighting bigger guys like Williams or Margo who would outweigh him by 10 pounds or more on fight night ****ing pathetic.:-( PBF is a small WW and comes in on fight night for his fights at 147 weighing no more than 149.
