Whatever weight you think this is at, and whatever stage in their respective careers you think it was...who do you believe would win? Me personally, Mayweather's peak was when he was 130lbs (possibly even still at 135lbs). Pacquiao's for me was at 140lbs (maybe even the Cotto bout aswell). :bbb Edit: Oh, and how they would win...also, weight being irrelevant, just peak vs peak.
Maybe expand on this? I believe Pacquiao has more of a chance, and definitely could beat Mayweather at 147lbs. But the Mayweather of 130lbs, I believe he would have too much for any version of Pacquiao.
At 130 prime for prime MAYWEATHER. AT 135 prime for prime MAYWEATHER. AT 140 prime for prime MAYWEATHER. AT 147 Let us find out LOL
it all depends on how floyd handles the onslaught on the back foot, if pacquiao is fast enough and cuts the ring off floyd gets beaten
IMO Pac beats him at any weight. Even at 130 the version of Pac that knocked Morales out in 3 rounds would overwhelm Floyd that stopped Corrales. I think 147 is where Pac has the hardest time because he can't fill into the weight. and I think a 140lb Pac right after he fought Hatton vs a 140lb Floyd right after he fought Gatti would be the consensus for a prime vs prime fight, which once again I give the edge to Pacquiao
Not sure about this one, lets say it was the 130lb versions of both these boxers...Pacquiao was a lot more reckless back then. Don't get me wrong, it worked for him a great deal of the time, but I believe Mayweather would make him walk on to shot after shot...and with a higher output... I think this version of Pacquiao is the closest version to his peak, excluding the 140lb version. Definitely more improved than the 130lb, etc version. What a bout that would have been.
Mayweather seems to naturally back off onto the ropes at times, he's very comfortable with it, but this is were I see Pacquiao doing the most damage, if/when they fight.
idk that why i want the fight to happen it could go either way mayweather is really good at ad****** to styles and never fights with a rythm... pac could go and smuther him he has a good chim really fast and works alot of angles and +southpaw
Floyd was more reckless at 130 as well. A higher output means Floyd would be more exposed. He was also young and lacked big fight experience, something Pac already had plenty of by the time he knocked out Morales. Pac hit devastatingly hard for a 130lber, especially after spending a 12-18 months at the weight. He actually became a huge 130lber. I think the 147 version is at his technical peak, but physically he was more devastating at the lower weight classes.
