Oh...I thought JuanMa won....maybe you should learn some sportsmanship rather than jumping in every thread with your "Gerry, Gerry" afterall we got love for Penalosa...but this is childish TBH...

This is not disrespect to Lopez. You already have the win, you already have the belts.

This is my salute to Gerry Penalosa.

    I'm proud of his performance.

my hero. i remember reading articles when i was a kid about gerry and his brother dodie in sunstar daily and seeing him fight on RPN 9. he was a local hero in mandaue city for a long time even before boxing began to take off again in the country during '03. i love how he came back to active fighting, though happily retired, when pacmania brought better opportunities for local fighters. coming out of retirement at an advanced age and fighting out of his optimum weight class, he proved his skills were still world class. even in defeat tonight, i feel he should be commended by taking a young lion to a place he's never been before.

i think gerry can make a lot of noise at 118, and retire off a big win over the darchinyan's, the agbeko's etc.....

Don`t get too pissed off man. Some guys are just way too enthusiastic or pumped up after that fight for some reason. I liked Juanma before but tonight he made me into a fan. Better get some more PR flags cause I might be waving them with you guys for his next fight.

UNLESS of course he`s fighting against someone from MY island :good

Big heart by Penalosa, it's just a shame he couldn't really compete with Juanma ( or chose not too by staying toe 2 toe with him).

JuanMa v. Penelosa was the bantam version of Cotto v. Margarito

Ummm... those two guys actually hurt each other though.

Maybe if Penalosa somehow made a miraculous comeback in the later rounds and tko`d Lopez then you`d have a point there.

What a heart by Gerry. Truly one of the greatest fighters that ever laced a glove.

Big props to juan man as well. great performance from him. if you know boxing, you can appreciate the ammount of power shots he throws per round and still have something left in the tank.
