Article over on MMA junkie ,

Penn wants to fight again asap , gave no explanation as to what he thinks went wrong against Edgar , wants to look to build off what he described as a good training camp , says he's in his prime and doesnt want to waste time .

Claims to of now found the correct balance between under and over training ..........

    Thoughts ???

Standing thats not a good idea as Gomi has always had a good chin and heavy hands. On the mat though its a sub in the waiting for the Penn.

Im a massive Penn fan , and to say im concerned about BJ at the moment would be somewhat of an understatement !!! :deal

How BJ can continue with the drivvel in his corner and his current preparations are beyond me , that said Penns skill set is still way too much for a high percentage of the worlds LW's , even with his current preperation .............

Penn cannot make 55 anymore , thats clear , the size of him in the cage was astronomical , i would love to know what he re hydrated at , im guessing close to 170 + looking at the size of him on fight night , thats just not healthy and it limits what your body can do in a fight , im worried for Penn , i think Penn should take at least 3 months off , rediscover his hunger , if he ever can , and clear his mind , then make a comeback .

As far as fights go for Penn , the UFC have a touch decision , do they look to match Penn against the current crop of top contenders like any other top level LW , or do they look for interesting marketable yet winnable fights for Penn , i.e Gomi etc !!! and look after him paving the way for another run at the title for the worlds most likeable and marketable LW .........

One fight i do like for Penn is Hughes 3 :deal

Another worrying aspect in what Penn is saying is that he has just completley refused to acknowledge that he was soundly beaten and he just wasnt prepared for Edgar !!!! , its like Joe Rogan said on fight night in the cage " Penn is just accepting he's getting beaten up " and he's already talking about fighting again , it makes no sense :huh

Penn vs. the winner of Serra/Lytle if he decides to move up.

I like this decision. I think BJ is feeling really good like he said. Think about it, He fought 5 rounds and was pretty much active the whole time so cardio is not a problem.

I think after watching the tape of the fight he realized that he was able to take Edgar down at will and had control for some time. This considering that it was late in the fight and was still able to do it.

Im thinking, he'll be back to the basics of taking people down and utilizing his BJJ more.
