lol @ you thinking that because you box that you can't get torn up by a bar brawler. 61kg really is nothing when compared to let's say a 90kg man who has experience of actual fights (which are not the same as boxing).

you should be more humble. your quick combos aren't really gonna help if someone puts you in a headlock/smashes a bottle in your face, and that "i fight 3 times a week" smack talk is like a green light for a certain type of guy

I dunno, I think it is pretty easy to avoid fights in the street, no 'warning lines' required.

I never say anything if someone looks like they want to fight, if your confident in your ability just SHOW the guy your a boxer in the fight. No need to tell before hand, a lot of people will see that as you trying to be a wiseguy.

Sounds like you have a very delicate ego.

It takes a bigger man to walk away or talk his way out of a fight. Just be nice.

I have never pickes a fight with anyone, but if I approached someone I planned to fight, them telling me about what they do or how they train would literally make me laugh.

Just handle your business. If someone messes with you, tell them to stop. If they don't, walk away. If he follows you, its time to show him you're a boxer.

Its not like you're doing him some courtesy or a "fair warning" by telling him anything.

You can explain to him all you want about how great of a boxer you are only AFTER you whip him, and that's IF you whip him...

You know what? If some guy comes up and wants to fight, light him up. Why bull**** around it? You go to the gym because you like to fight, so there is obviously a willingness to put your hands on another individual. So don't trip. Tune him up.
If you are afraid of getting lit up...If you are afraid of getting your ass kicked, you don't have the mentality to be a fighter.

about same size me when i was training, now im like 80kg fat and unfit, and wouldnt like to be in a street fight with anyone, there also alot of bigger and stronger guys about so they would in know way feel intimidated by a 'boxer' and certianly wouldnt recoil in horror, infact most numskulls would prefer the reputation of beating on a boxer than a normal drunk bum, you keep it yourself definitely. also if u are boxing as mentioned earlier u dont want to break ur hand on some alchys head do ya :D

It's funny, I've found lots of people get bolder when they find out you box, wanting to prove their mettle with someone who does, making all sorts of boasts of what they could do in the ring. Usually when the invitation to come spar is offered sincerely, however, they hem and haw and can't think of when they might have time.

Knowing you train in the sport is probably likely to make you more of a target for someone to run up and cheap-shot with a sucker punch or hit you while you're seemingly easy prey (inebriated, etc) so they can brag about it. It paints a target on your back more than it shields you from conflict, I'd wager.

Whether you're around people that know or not, semper paratus. :yep Keep alert and protect yourself at all times. Sound advice going through life whether you box or not.
