Wanting good heavyweights is all well and fine. Saying boxing as a whole sucks because the division sucks is not acceptable.
Even if Klitschko fought Sam Peter, or Valuev, or Povetkin - not one of those fights would be a clash of the best overall talents in the sport, the hardest p4p punchers, the largest percentage-by-KO monsters, the most pleasing to the eye...nothin' really exceptional. Just the best heavyweights available, that's the highest acclaim you could give such a fight. It's a division in a slump, it's how the cookie crumbles, and it's not that big a deal.
It was a pretty good fight, but that has nothing at all to do with what I said. I was agreeing that people want to see good fights between Heavys, I never said anything about the fight tonight.
